6th National Science Film Festival and Competition 2016 will be organized on February 9-13, 2016 at Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai. Vigyan Prasar invites entries from students, individuals and institutions to be a part of the National Science Film Festival and Competition 2016.

Eligibility Criteria
The entries can be submitted by Students, Individuals or Institutions.The Film to be submitted should be made only between January 1, 2014 and November 30, 2015.

Category A-D
- Golden Beaver- 50,000 to 100,000
- Silver Beaver - 30,000 to 50,000
- Bronze Beaver - 10,000 to 30,000
Special Award for Technical Excellence
- Graphics / Animation / Special Effects-20,000
- Sound recording and Design-20,000
Special Jury Awards
- Film to promote scientific temper-20,000
- Film on innovation-20,000
Application Mode and Process
The registration for the National Science Film Festival and Competition 2016 is to be done online but the submission along with 2 DVD or CD of the film is to be submitted offline.
Specification of the Films
General Specification:The following conditions are to be kept in mind:
- Language:The film can be in Hindi, English or any language declared in the Constitution of India.
- If the film is not in Hindi/English, either it should be dubbed or subtitled in Hindi/English.
- Number of Entries: Participants can submit more than one entry for each category but they should fill separate entry form for each entry
Selection Process
- A jury of selected members will judge the entries and shortlist films for Science Film Festival to be organized at Raman Science Centre, Nagpur.
- The names of the shortlisted candidates will be announced on December 11, 2015
