Jain University, Bangalore has invited applications for 4 years full time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Programme for the academic year 2017 through JET is a Scholarship Entrance Exam which is conducted for the admission of the qualified candidates into 4 years full time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Programme for the academic year 2017.

B.Tech Programmes
B Tech Programmes are offered in following categories:
a) Aerospace Engineering
b) Information Science and Engineering
c) Electronics and Communication Engineering
d) Electrical and Electronics Engineering
e) Computer Science Engineering
f) Mechanical Engineering
g) Civil Engineering
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for the B.Tech Program, students must have passed in PCMB/PCMC/ PCME in PUC or ISC/CBSE or equivalent board. Only candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are eligible.
- In case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%. However, the final selection will be based on merit only. IB students should get 30 credits to qualify for the course. Provisional admission will be given on predicted scores. However, the actual score should be as per eligibility standards of the University.
- Students who failed to get the required credits his / her admission stands to be cancelled. Cambridge students must study 2 or 3 subjects at advanced level
- Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply
- Applicants should have completed 12 years of formal schooling in order to apply for the program. Admission will be offered based on scores secured in JET 2016
- Note: Candidates scoring below 60% in 10+2 or equivalent exams may not be eligible for completion of Admission through JET
Admission Process
Once your application has been reviewed, the Admissions Office will conduct the Jain Entrance Test according to the schedule.
Entrance Test
The written test will consist of 4 sections (total 120 marks)
Section 1: English - 30 marks
Section 2: Physics - 30 marks
Section 3: Chemistry - 30 marks
Section 4: Mathematics - 30 marks
Counselling Process
The allotment of branch of engineering is based on the candidate's performance in JET 2016 and the preferences indicated in the application form. Applicants will be intimated about the branch allotted to them through selection letters via e-mail. The decision of the Admissions Committee in allotting the branch to the candidates will be final.
Final Decision
On completion of the counseling process the admission committee will review your application along with the branch opted in the counseling process and a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to all successful candidates.
Scholarship
Phase I: Jain University offers scholarship to meritorious top rank holders who fulfill the criteria decided by the admission committee
Phase II: The scholarship will be a tuition fee waiver on a percentage basis of 12/PUC or any equivalent and will not cover living cost. If the student loses interest in academic work and performs below par or fails to put in requisite attendance, he /she will forfeit the scholarship from that year

Completing your Application - Applicants are responsible for submitting completed applications. If we receive an incomplete application, it will be scrutinized on the basis of the information provided.
Important Dates
- Completed application form will be accepted from 16th November 2016 (onwards)
- Last Date & hour of Receipt for completed Application Forms is 15th April 2017 (Saturday)
- Date of JET for B.Tech Programs: 16th April 2017 (Sunday)
- Results of the entrance test will be declared on the same day i.e., 16 April 2017 (Sunday)
