DAVUET 2017 - DAV University Entrance-Cum-Scholarship Test 2017

DAV University Jalandhar had invited applications for DAVUET 2017 for B. Tech and B.Sc. Courses admission 2017 session.

Courses Offered


The DAV University is holding Entrance cum Scholarship test (DAVUET-2017) on 30th April, 2017 for admission to the following courses:

  • B. Tech: Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Sc. (Hons.): Agriculture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology Mathematics, Physics, Zoology
  • B.Com (Bachelor of commerce); M.Com (Mater of commerce); BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and; MBA (Master of Business Administration) Programs



Eligibility Criteria


  • For B.Tech./B.Sc/B.Com/BBA Programme: A candidate who is appearing or has appeared in the qualifying examination, i.e. 12th Standard in 2017; however, he/she shall be admitted to the course only, if he/she provides the proof of passing the qualifying exam with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of admission
  • A candidate who has passed 10+2 or any other equivalent exam with required aggregate of marks (follow the website www.davuniversity.org) in respective subject combinations given under section 3. A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to SC Candidates



Exam Pattern 


The Question paper shall be based on CBSE syllabi of 10+1 and 10+2. Question paper will be in English language only and questions will be of Multiple Choice (MCQ) type.

Each question will have 4 choices out of which only one correct answer has to be chosen and the appropriate circle is to be shaded on the provided OMR sheet.

Each question will carry one mark. The question paper will have the following four sections:

a) Physics - 1 to 25 question numbers; 
b) Chemistry - 26 to 50 question numbers; 
c) Mathematics - 51 to 75 question numbers; 
d) Biology - 76 to 100 question numbers

1. "0.25" mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
2. Students opting for PCM stream should attempt the sections A, B and C
3. Students opting for PCB stream should attempt the sections A, B and D

How to Apply


The candidate is required to fill online form by visiting the website www.davuniversity.org


  • Get printout of the filled online form, the admit cards, and the attendance slip. Affix four latest photographs of passport size on them and put signature wherever required
  • The form complete in all respects along with registration fee will have to be submitted by hand or by registered post/speed post/courier to the examination centre selected by the candidate in his/her application form
  • However, the candidate may also get the registration form from the Principal of the opted examination centre by paying Rs.200/- and follow the above procedure



Note: The filled-in form should not be sent to DAV University unless DAV University Jalandhar is opted as the exam centre; candidates are advised to retain a photocopy of the filled-in application form and admit card for future reference; the university will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in postal transit.


Mode of Payment


  • Cash: The candidate can pay the fee of Rs.200/- to the Examination Centre Opted by the candidate (or); Multi City cheque or Demand Draft
  • The fee can also be deposited through Multi City cheque/DD of Rs.200/- drawn in favour of “Principal………………..” (Fill in respective examination centre) payable at the respective city
  • Candidate should write his/her name, address and mobile number on the reverse side of multicity cheque/DD
  • For example, if a candidate has selected DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana as examination centre, the candidate is to draw a cheque/DD in favour of "Principal, DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana"



Note: In case DAV University is opted as a test centres the Multicity cheque/DD of Rs.100/- is to be drawn in favour of Registrar, DAV University, Jalandhar (fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances)


Admit Card


  • The Admit Card will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application forms complete in all respects, on or before the last date
  • Admit Card will be sent by post or can be collected by hand from the respective test centres; if the candidate does not receive the Admit Card by due date he/she should contact the respective examination centre at least two days before the exam date
  • No candidate will be permitted to appear in the test without a valid Admit Card



Result


  • After the evaluation Of Answer Sheets result is likely to be declared by May 2017 and the same will be available on website www.davuniversity.org
  • A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured in the DAVUET-2017; there will be no separate merit list of SC/ST candidates. There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets
  • No correspondence in this regard will be entertained



Important Dates


  • Last Date for Submission of duly Filled Application Form at the Opted Exam Centre: 08th April 2017
  • Date of Entrance Test: 30th April 2017 (Sunday)


Time of Entrance Test


i. For candidates appearing in three subjects (PCM or PCB) 11.00 AM - 12.30 PM
ii. For candidates appearing in four subjects (PCMB) 11.00 AM - 01.00 PM
iii. For candidates appearing in three subjects of (Bcom/BBA/M.Com/MBA): 11.00 AM-12.30 PM
