The Institute of Mathematics and Applications is offering a well designed programme “B.Sc. Intake

The maximum number of students to be admitted into the programme is 30 which include the number of students admitted under reserved categories as prescribed by the Govt. of Odisha and in vogue at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate seeking admission to this programme should have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with mathematics and English as a subject

Selection Process

• Selection of candidates for admission into B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computing shall be made on the basis of the entrance test. 

• The entrance test will be of two hour duration. 

• Previous years question are available in the institute website for reference.

• Eligible candidates can appear in the entrance test. Students appearing at the qualifying examination can also appear in the entrance test. 

• However if selected, they have to submit the results of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. (Provisional Certificate,College/School Leaving Certificate, Marksheet).

Offline Mode

• Application form and information Brochure can be collected from Institute's counter from 11:00 A.M to 4:30 P.M on working days on payment of application fee (see below) in the shape of DD of a nationalized bank payable to Director, IMA, Bhubaneswar at Bhubaneswar.

• A candidate shall be supplied with Information Brochure and Application form by post on a written request enclosing application fees in the form of DD. In that case the candidate should supply his address on a separately typed or legibly written plane paper which will be posted by the office of the Institute on the envelope for sending Information Brochure and Application form.

• The form may also be down loaded from the Institute's website http://www.iomaorissa.ac.in/admissions.php

Submission of the application form

The filled in application along with enclosures detailed below should be sent to the Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Andharua, Bhubaneswa - 751029 by speed post or in person so as to reach the Institute on or before May 10, 2017, 5:00 P.M.

Application fees

• Online application: Rs 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for general category candidates and Rs 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) for SC/ST candidates. 

• Paper copy application on hand delivery, from office counter of IMA: Rs 600/- (Rupees six hundred only) for general category candidates and Rs 400/- (Rupees four hundred only) for SC/ST candidates.

• Paper copy application on postal delivery by speed post : Rs 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only) for general category candidates and Rs 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for SC/ST candidates.
