ACET 2017


About


Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) is a statutory body that was established under the Actuaries Act 2006 for regulation of profession of Actuaries in India. 

IAI organize an Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET). This entrance exam is conducted for those candidates planning to enroll as student members of IAI. 


ACET 2017 will be conducted twice in the year. i.e June and December


Eligibility Criteria


  • Academic Qualification: Candidates have to qualify their 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects.
  • Candidates who already in education at higher levels and also those working and having qualifications in mathematical subjects, they can also appear for the entrance exam.
  • Graduate, Postgraduate, Engineering students, management students, chartered and cost accountants, company secretaries, degree holders in mathematical and statistical sciences etc, can also appear.
  • No Age bar and No Attempts limit.


How to Apply






  • Fill up the online registration form and make the payment online. Before you make the payment, make sure all your details are correct because no subsequent changes would be possible thereafter. 
  • On successful completion of payment, you will also receive an e- mail at your registered e-mail address confirming your registration and successful payment. (Inform us immediately, in case, you do not receive it). Kindly take a printout of your ACET online Registration Form. 



Application Fee


The registration fee for the entrance test is Rs. 3000/-. The Fee is non-refundable. Candidates can pay the fee only through online process.


Syllabus for ACET 


Syllabus for ACET Examination will include the following

1) Mathematics
2) Statistics
3) English
4) Data Interpretation
5) Logic

  • The duration of the entrance test will be 3 hours. 
  • The exam will have 70 multiple choice type’s questions. The question paper will be of 100 marks. 
  • The questions of Section I will contain 55% of weightage and Section II will contain 45% of weightage. 
  • Section I comprises of Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation and Section II consist of English and Logical Reasoning. 
  • There is a procedure of negative marking.

Admit Card


Candidates can get the ACET Hall Ticket 2017 via online from the official portal. (http://www.actuariesindia.org/)


Candidates keep the hall ticket till the admission process is not over. Without the hall ticket, candidates will not allow to enter in the examination hall.


ACET 2017 Result



  • ACET Result 2017 will be declared online on the official website of the conducting authority. 
  • The result will be announced on 22 December 2017
  • ACET Result will be valid only for three years from the result declaration date for taking student membership of IAI.

Admission Procedure


After passing the entrance exam, candidates have to undergo with the ACET 2017 admission procedure. For that, candidates have to register themselves again for the “Student Membership”. 


Candidates can register on the official site by filling the “Student Membership Form”. Candidates take the printout of the Application cum Payment Confirmation Form and send it with the attested documents in the given address:

  • Online Registration Closed: 9 November 2017
  • Date of Entrance Exam: 9 December 2017
  • Result Announcement Date: 22 December 2017
  • Last Date to take Student Membership Admission (If wants to appear for September 2017 Exam): 10 January 2018
