Silver Zone International Olympiad of Mathematics

About 



International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM’ 15) is organized annually by Silver Zone Foundation in association with Mathematic Olympiad Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria



  • LanguageThe language of examination will be English only. 
  • Registration: Students will be registered through the school only.
  • Class:  1st  to 12th 




Application Mode and Process



The registration of the students will be done by their respective schools and the level 1 and 2 of the examination will be conducted in the school. The details of International Olympiad of Mathematics (iOM’15) application Process are as follow:


Mode of Application: The applications will be made offline and need to be done by the schools. Individual applications will not be entertained for iOM’15

Application Fee: An examination fee of Rs. 120 is to be paid by the students in order to participate in the iOM’15.


Mode of Payment: Any one of the below mentioned methods can be adopted by the schools in order to make the payment for the examination.

Selection Process



Level of Examination: 

There will be three levels of iOM’15 examination, out of these Level 1 & 2 will be conducted in the school while the Level 3 examination will be conducted in Delhi. The detailed information is as follow:

  •  Level 1: Level 1 Examination will be conducted in respective schools on November 18, 2015 and December 02, 2015. The Examination is open for all students who want to appear in the examination.
  • Level 2: Students scoring top 500 ranks will be eligible to take part in Level 2 of the Olympiad examination.
  • Level 3: The Level 3 of Olympiad Examination will be conducted in New Delhi and will be organized in July/August 2016.


Exam pattern


The exam will be conducted in 2 groups and the patter of exam will be different for each group and the question paper will have 15% to 20% questions from 'Mental Ability:



  • For Classes 1-2:
    • Number of questions: 30
    • Duration: 60 minutes.
    • Type of Questions: Multiple choice answers
    • Negative Marking: No
  • For class 3-10:
    • Number of questions: 40
    • Duration: 60 minutes.
    • Type of Questions: Multiple choice answers (on OMR sheet).
    • Negative Marking: No
  • For class 11-12

  • Sequence and Series
  • Permutation and Combination
  • Binomial Theorem, Coordinate Geometry

Reward


The details of the prizes are as follow:


  • Level 1:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The students scoring top rank will compete in the next level and the following prizes will be given in Level 1:
    • Prizes for 4-10 rank holders:Wrist Watch will be given to candidates scoring rank among Top 4-10 ranks.
    • Prizes for 11-25 rank holders:Candidates with ranks between top 11 to 25 ranks will get Exciting Gifts.
    • Prize for 26-200 rank holders:Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to candidates scoring rank among top 26 – 200ranks.
    • Class Toppers: Class Toppers (1st, 2nd and 3rd) from each class of every school will be provided with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals provided that they obtain minimum 50% marks in the Olympiad examination.
    • Certificate of Participation: All candidates participating in the iOM’15 will be provided with Student Participation Certificate with their Class/Olympiad/Rank mentioned on them.

  • Level 2:

    • Winners of Class 11-12: A Winner Trophy and Cash prize of Rs.51,000 will be given to the candidates scoring First rank in class 11 & 12.
    • Winners of Class 1 to 10: A TAB along with Winner’s Trophy will be given to the students of class 1-10 scoring First rank.
    • Second Rank Holders: Digi cam along with a Winner’s Trophy will be given to the candidates who scored Second Rank in the Olympiad Examination.
    • Third Rank Holders:Cash prize of Rs. 5000 and a Winner’s Trophy will be given to the candidates scoring Third rank in the Olympiad examination.
    • State Toppers: Topper Achievement Medals & Exciting Prizes will be given to the candidates scoring 1st, 2nd &3rd rank at the State level.

  • Level 3: An Educational Excursion to NASA will be offered to Top 2 rank scoring students in the third level of Olympiad Examination.
