GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Entrance Exam 2016 for admission to UG 2016

Applications are invited for GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Entrance Exam 2016 for admission to Undergraduate, Masters, MCA (except M.Tech) and PhD programmes of the University from the Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand.

The admission to M.Tech Programs will be done on the basis of GATE score and B.Tech merit

Candidate from Other States may apply for admission to MCA, M.Tech & PhD Programs only

The Wards of Kashmiri Migrants and J&K Residents may apply for admission to Undergraduate Programmes only



Eligibility Criteria



  • B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Food Technology: Intermediate Agriculture/Science with mathematics of biology or equivalent exam
  • B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Intermediate Science with physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for general category and 40% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST) in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and
  • English B.F.Sc.: Intermediate Science with Biology/Agriculture or equivalent examination
  • B.Sc Home Science: Intermediate Science with mathematics or Biology




Selection Procedure


All admissions in the University shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Competitive Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University



How to Apply






  • The candidates may apply online or offline for admission to all the above said programmes
  • Prospectus and Application Form may be obtained from the following Post Offices on cash payment of Rs.200/- plus Rs.50/- Post Office handling Charges from 16th February 2016 to 31st March 2016
  • Besides, the application form and Prospectus may be obtained by Post from Admission Cell of the University
  • They will have to submit a separate application as and when called by ICAR/VCI, New Delhi and take All India Competitive Exams and attend counselling at New Delhi for seat allotment

Application Fee


  • For all the above said programmes examination/Processing fee is as follows for General and OBC: Rs.1200/-; for SC/ST/PH: Rs.600/-




Important Dates


  • Online filing of Application Form for UG, Masters, MCA and PhD Programs: 16th February 2016 to 31st March 2016
  • Last Date of Receipt of Print out of Application Form for UG, Masters, MCA & PhD: 09th April 2016
  • Downloading of Admit Cards Date: 20th May 2016 onwards
  • For Undergraduate Programmes: 05th June 2016
  • Date of Declaration of Result: 15th June 2016
  • Date of Counselling: Second/Third week of July 2016
