Joint Admission Committee, Chandigarh has invited applications for admissions to B.E. & B.Arch. Courses based on JEE (Main) - 2016 All India Rank in following institutions for the session 2016-17.
All the candidates declared eligible by CBSE for B.E. /B.E. (Chemical) with MBA and B.Arch. counselling is eligible for registration to B.E. /B.E. (Chemical) with MBA and B.Arch. Courses for the session 2016-17 under JAC-2016.
Candidates who appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by CBSE, shall have to take part in the counselling by JAC for admission to the following engineering colleges.

Academic Qualifications
The academic qualifications as prescribed in Information Bulletin and Application Form of JEE (Main)-2016 are applicable for this allocation/allotment, extract of which is reproduced
Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying exam in 2014 or 2015; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying exam in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2016
Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such exam in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2016
Candidates who appeared in Class 12th/equivalent qualifying examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2016
Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in Class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main)-2016
Candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main)-2016 and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main)-2016 by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared. Subject combinations required in the qualifying exam for admission to B.E. /B.E. (Chemical) with MBA and B.Arch. courses under JAC-2016 shall be as under:
B.E. / B.E. (Chemical) with MBA - (i) Language (ii) Physics (iii) Mathematics (iv) Any one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject (v) Any other subject; with at least 45% (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category i.e. SC/ST & Persons with Disability marks in the above subjects taken together
B. Architecture - Mathematics subject along with 50% marks in total including five subjects.
Eligibility Conditions For JAC-2016
All India Rank prepared by CBSE on the basis of score in JEE (Main) - 2016 and normalised score in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively) shall be used for admission to B.E./B.E. (Chemical) with MBA and B. Arch. for JAC-2016
The cut off marks/criteria for eligibility for various categories shall be decided by CBSE on the declaration of the result of JEE (Main)-2016
The candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD shall be eligible on the basis of relaxed criteria (cut off) determined by CBSE for the year 2016 for Central Counselling as indicated above
Eligibility for admission under Foreign Nationals/NRI Seats
Admission of Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non - Resident Indians (NRIs) to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes for the session 2016-17 at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) and Dr. SSBUICET (formerly known as DCET) Chandigarh are being coordinated by National Institute of Technology, Srinagar under DASA Scheme 2016-17
The 24 seats are available for admission of international students at UIET and 19 seats are available for admission of international students at Dr. SSBUICET (formerly known as DCET)
The 75 seats are available for admission of international students at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh (Formerly University Institute Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh).

The Registration Fee of Rs.1800/- is to be deposited either in the form of e-Challan in any branch of SBI bank throughout India or through online payment (Debit card/Credit card).
Those candidates, who have passed the qualifying exam (10+2) from schools/colleges located in the Union Territory, Chandigarh and recognised by the Chandigarh Administration, are considered under the Chandigarh Quota (for PEC/CCET/CCA only); all other candidates who have passed their qualifying exam from elsewhere, fall under the All India Quota.
There is no Chandigarh Quota for University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Dr.SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Dr. SSBUICET) and University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur (UIET PUSSGRC).
The last date for the submission of confirmation slip along with required documents (in triplicate) for Sports category is 09th July 2016 up to 05.00 p.m. Submission of the application shall be done by hand/by post to the following address "JAC-2016 Admission Office, University Institute of Engineering & Technology, South Campus, Panjab University, Sector-25, Chandigarh-160014."
Applications along with three copies of all relevant documents received after due date will not be accepted.
