About

Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) Entrance Exam 2016 is conducted at the national level conducted by the Pearl Academy of Fashion as a qualifying Examination for admissions to the various design courses offered at the academy.

Pearl Academy Admission 2017 will be organized in two cycles, i.e. Admission Cycle-1 (January 2017) and Admission Cycle-2 (April 2017). 

Pearl Academy offer admissions in UG, PG and other diploma courses in the field of fashion design, product design, interior design and other courses. This university organizes written admission test and personal interview for providing admissions.

Pearl Academy of fashion has 3 campuses which are located in Delhi & Noida, jaipur, Mumbai.

Pearl Academy of Fashion Course for the Undergraduate admission are:

Undergraduate (UG) Programmes: 

B.A. (Hons) 4 years: Fashion Design (Delhi, Noida, Jaipur); Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors (Delhi, Jaipur); Communication Design (Delhi, Noida); Fashions Business Management (Delhi, Jaipur); Fashion Marketing and Retail Management (Delhi, Noida); Interior Architecture and Design (Delhi, Noida, Jaipur); Fashion Styling and Image Design (Delhi, Noida); Fashion Media Communication (Delhi); Interior Product Design (Noida); Luxury Brands Management (Delhi); Branding and Advertising Management (Delhi); Jewellery Design (Jaipur) 

Eligibility Criteria 

• For 3-year /4-year UG B.A. (Hons) Programmes: Candidates should be a 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks 

• For 1-year UG Diploma Programmes: Candidates should be a 10+2 or equivalent 

Pearl Academy also offers admission to its Interior Architecture & Design Course on the basis of the NATA Score. Those candidates who appear in NATA are exempted from giving the Entrance Exam.

They need to only appear for interview once they have taken NATA.

How to Apply

Candidates can fill the Pearl Academy Application Form 2017 via either of the three modes mentioned below:

• MODE 1: OFFLINE by purchasing Application Kit 2017 from the Pearl Academy campuses

• MODE 2: OFFLIE by purchasing Application Kit 2017 from authorized Sales Counters.

• MODE 3: ONLINE

Candidates applying online are required to apply through the Admissions 2017 Portal (Admissions 2017) on the official home page of Pearl Website www.pearlacademy.com or  http://pearlacademy.com/admissions/

• Candidates appearing in their final examinations can also apply provisionally 

• Candidates can apply through Online Mode using Debit/Credit Card or Demand Draft. Application Fee is to be paid using Credit Card and Debit Card or Demand Draft 

• Candidates can apply Online and payment of Rs.1100/- can be using either Debit/Credit Card or Demand Draft 

• Please keep your Credit Card/Debit Card/Demand Draft ready with you before applying. The Demand Draft should be in favour of 'Creative Arts Education Society' payable at New Delhi

• Photograph: Soft copy (scanned copy) of recently taken passport size colour photograph, preferably in white background with below mentioned specifications:

• Size: not be more than 1 mb

• Format:  .jpg format

• Signature: Soft copy (scanned copy) of Signature of the Candidate with below mentioned specifications:

• Size: not be more than 1 mb

• Format:  .jpg format

Selection Procedure 

• Written Exam: On the basis of result of Written Admission Test, candidates will be shortlisted according to their scores in the exam.

• Personal Interview/ Pearl Academy Studio Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview/ Studio test.

• Final Selection:  On the basis of personal interview and the Written Examination final list of candidates will be prepared.

Exam Pattern

Medium: English only

For GPT the student has to answer 60 questions in 60 minutes

General Proficiency Test (GPT) is administered to judge a candidate’s proficiency in the English language (comprehension, vocabulary and expression), Language Ability, Logical reasoning, Quantitative ability, Data Interpretation, basic Mathematics, etc.

Design Aptitude Test (DAT) examines candidates’ aptitude for creativity, drawing, design ability, power of observation and imagination, sensitivity to environment and communication skills.

For admission in BA (Honours) Design Courses

• Combined General Proficiency Test (GPT) is of 60 minutes duration and 

• Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted which is of 120 minutes duration.

• For admission in BA (Honours) Creative Business

• Only General Proficiency Test (GPT) is conducted which is of 60 minutes duration.

Personal Interview

• All candidates are required to undergo a Personal Interview after the Written Admission Test at their respective Entrance Examination Center.

• Candidates appearing for the Written Test in Delhi / NCR, Noida, Jaipur, Mumbai and Chennai centers are required to appear for the Personal Interview at respective Pearl Academy Campuses only.

Fees

• Candidates are required to pay Rs 1000 towards the Application fee charges.
