Swachh Bharat Short Film Festival 2016

About

The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) of India has invited entries for the Short Films Competition and the winners will be announced at a special felicitation programme to be held in New Delhi on October 2, which is ‘Gandhi Jayanti’.

The last date for submission of entries is September 10, 2016 for the competition which is open to all age groups, especially children.

Short films with duration of not more than three minutes and shot in HD Format will be considered for the competition. The film can be made in Hindi, English or any of the listed official languages of India. The film should not exceed more than 3 min (180 sec).

Eligibility Criteria

• Gender: both

• Region: All India

• Details: Swachh Bharat Film festival is open for people of all group, especially children

Reward

The festival shall carry the following awards:

• Best film – shall carry a cash prize of INR Ten (10) Lakhs and a certificate.

• Three (3) films falling in Second Best Category – each shall be awarded a cash prize INR Five (5) Lakhs.

• Six films (6) falling in Third Best Category – each shall be awarded a cash prize of INR Two (2) Lakhs.

Important Instructions for making the short film

• The film should not exceed more than 3 min (180 sec) and must be in HD format.

• The theme of the film is on the involvement of children in Swachh Bharat Mission and the content of the film must be suitable for universal viewing.

• The short film must be made in any of the listed official languages of India and must be subtitled in English.

Submission of the Application Form

• Application form must be submitted ONLINE at sbsff@nfdcindia.com and send a hard copy with the screener (DVD/ USB Drive only).

• Along with the application, the applicant has to email the filmmaker’s photograph (300 dpi) and film stills in digital format.

• The applicant should ensure that the address / email shared in the application is correct as it may be used by film festival office for communication.

Selection Process

Swachh Bharat short Film Festival will be held on October 2, 2016 at Siri Fort Auditorium. If a film submitted by the applicants has not been selected, them Swachh Bharat Short Film Festival 2016 will inform applicant by letter within one week of the announcement of the final film selection. 

So, the applicant should carefully provide the address/email id in the Application form.
