GAT Online Tests: GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programmes in GITAM University at its Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Campuses

Eligibility Criteria 

• B.Tech Programmes: Pass in Intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch. / B.Pharm.) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognized Central/State Board or its equivalent either in 2017 or 2016 and Rank obtained in GAT(UGTP)-2017.

• Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program should qualify in NATA / JEE (Main) 

• Candidates with Mathematics/Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects are eligible for B.Tech. Biotechnology (60% aggregate marks in group and First Class/equivalent grade) and B.Pharmacy 

Details of Admission Test GAT (UGTP) - 2017: 

• The duration of the test is 2 hours. 

• The test consists of three sections and all questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). 

• Each question has four options out of which one is correct. 

• Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. 

• The unanswered questions will receive nil marks 

Section-A: Mathematics/Biology 40 (no of questions); 160 (marks) 

Section-B: Physics 30 (no of questions); 120 (marks) 

Section-C: Chemistry 30 (no of questions); 120 (marks) 

Total: 100 (no of question); 400 (marks)

How to Apply 

Candidates can apply in any one of the following methods:

• Apply online at www.gitam.edu 

• Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by demand draft for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank Request for applications by post will be accepted upto 25th March 2017 

• Applications are available throughout India in Union Bank of India/Indian Bank/Karur Vysya Bank; list of branches is available on the website. 

Fees

• The filled - in application along with Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of Gitam University, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, Gitam University, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 31st March 2017

Ahmedabad, Anantapur, Bellary, Bengaluru (GITAM Campus), Bengaluru (City), Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chennai, Chittoor, Coimbatore, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad (GITAM Campus), Hyderabad (Saifabad), Hyderabad (Nagole), Hubli, Jamshedpur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kolkata, Kochi, Kota, Kurnool, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Nellore, New Delhi, Nizamabad, Ongole, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Rajahmundry, Ranchi, Tadepalligudem, Tirupathi, Trivendrum, Velivennu, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Warangal
