About

Center for Science and Environment (CSE) invites applications from candidates who are interested in photography and environment for CSE Photography Fellowship & Contest.

By the mean of Photography Fellowship & Contest, CSE wants to depict visual stories of climate change and its impacts, highlighting the vulnerabilities of communities, their struggles and successes.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: The CSE Photography Fellowship is open for everyone.

• Qualification: There is no restriction of any specific qualification, Anyone and everyone who is interested in photography can participate.

Application Mode and Process

The applications for the Fellowship as well as contest are to be made online and the details related to the application process are as follow:

CSE Photography Fellowship: Online applications are to be submitted by the candidates with their proposal which should give information about the region and the story candidate would like to cover by the means of the fellowship.

Details

• Along with the proposal, applicants should submit some samples of their photographs as well.

• Once the scholarship has been awarded, the fellows will get 30 days to shoot their entries and they should submit seven photographs on or before 21 October 2015.

• The photos should be accompanied by 100 words textual explanation and camera & Lens specifications.

• CSE Photo Contest: The contestants should submit their photographs online along with a 100 word short explanation giving details of the context, camera & lens specifications.

Details:

• The photographs to be submitted should be shoot in 2015 only.

Selection Process

• Fellowship: The applications and proposals submitted for the fellowship will be evaluated by the Fellowship Jury.

• Contest: Submitted entries will be judged by Contest Jury and the winners will be awarded in the first week of November.

Reward

Center for Science and Environment Fellowship & Contest will provide the following benefits to the fellows selected for the Fellowship and to the winner of the contest:

Photography Fellowship

• Number of Fellowships: Total 7 candidates will be selected for the award of the Fellowship.

• Amount of Fellowship: Rs.50,000 will be offered to the selected candidates.

• Selected candidates will be offered Tamron lenses as loan during the period of fellowship.                                                                                                  

Photography Contest 

• 5 winners will be awarded with high end Tamron lenses (the SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD or the SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD).
