International Desertification Photo Contest 2015

International Desertification Photo Contest is being organized by Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, Republic of Turkey in association with United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: People of any nationality can apply for this photo contest.

• Proficiency: The contest is open for all photographers irrespective of their level of proficiency i.e. amateur or professional.  

Application Mode and Process

The application process of International Desertification Photo Contest will be completely online and the details of application process are as follow:

 
Specification of the Photographs: 

The details related to the photographs, Themes etc. are as follow:

• Subject: Fight against land degradation, desertification and drought.

• Category: The contest will be held in one “Free” category.

• Number of Entries: Each participant can submit up to 4 entries to each category.

• Photo Manipulation: Editing or enhancing the photograph using software such as Photoshop etc. will lead to the disqualification of the entry.

Reward

The candidates selected as the winner of the International Desertification Photo Contest will get the following benefits:

• First Prize: FIAP Gold Medal and cash prize of 1300 USD.

• Second Prize: FIAP Silver Medal along with cash prize of 900 USD.

• Third Prize: FIAP Bronze Medal along with cash prize of 500 USD

• FIPA Special Mentions: FIPA will give Special Mentions to 10 candidates and they will get 180 USD each.

• PAFT Special Mansion

• Exhibition: A maximum 50 photographs will be selected for Exhibition and get cash benefit of 40 USD each.

• FIAP Best Photographer Award: This award will be given to the candidate who is most awarded and exhibited photographer.

Selection Process

The information regarding that result will be made on October 09, 2015 on the website of Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs.
