62nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen 2015

About 



International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, founded in 1954, is one of the oldest short film festivals in the world and one of the major international platforms for the short form


It is an independent festival accredited by FIAPF, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations.


International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is conducted in three parts:
  • International Competition
  • German Competition
  • NRW Competition
  • International Children’s and Youth Film Competition

Eligibility Criteria



Age: Age no Bar


Nationality: The contest is open for participants of all nationalities







Application Mode and Process



Duration: Candidates can submit works of all genres not exceeding a length of 35 minutesOnly works are eligible that have not been shown at any other German festival before Oberhausen are eligible


Productions entering the International Competition must have been completed after January 1,  2015


Submissions to the International Competition must be made online or received in Oberhausen no later than February 1, 2016

Admitted screening formats: 35 mm, 16 mm, Super 8 and DCP


Each filmmaker may present only one work






Selection Process


All submitted films will be previewed for every appropriate festival programme


All the selected candidates will be informed of the selection results in mid-March 2016






Reward


  • Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen € 8,000
  • Principal Prize € 4,000
  • the e-flux Prize € 3,000
