AICTE Pragati Saksham Scholarship for Girls 2015

About


All India Council Technical Education (AICTE) invites applications for Two Scholarship Schemes - AICTE Pragati Saksham Scholarship for Girls 2015. 


Pragati scheme is for girl students and Saksham Scheme is for differently abled students who are admitted in first year of their degree/diploma for the academic year 2015-16


Scholarship Details


  • Scholarship for Girls under Pragati Scheme: 4000 Scholarships each worth Rs 30,000/- or covers the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is less; and contingency allowance of Rs 2000/- per month for ten months (only for the students staying in the hostels)

  • Scholarship for Differently Abled Students: 1000 Scholarships each worth Rs 30,000/- or covers the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is less; and contingency allowance of Rs 2000/- per month for ten months (only for the students staying in the hostels)



Eligibility Criteria


For Pragati Scheme:

  • Scholarship is available only for One Girl per family
  • Family income should be less than Rs.6 Lakhs per Annum
  • Candidate should have been admitted to 1st year of the degree or diploma program in any of the AICTE approved institute during the academic year 2015-16



For Saksham Scheme:

  • Scholarship is available only for differently abled students having more than 40% disability
  • Family income should be less than Rs. 6 Lakhs per Annum
  • Candidate should have been admitted to 1st year of the degree or diploma program in any of the AICTE approved institute during the academic year 2015-16
  • Reservation - 15% for SC, 7.5%, ST and 27% for OBC candidates/applicants




How to Apply

  • Eligible students who are already admitted to technical programs/courses in AICTE approved Institutions during 2015-16, in the first year, may make an application in a prescribed format available on AICTE portal at www.aicte-india.org
  • The duly filled in form complete in all respects along with scanned attested copies of the certificate in pdf are required to be submitted as attachments on e-mail rifd.aicte.india@gmail.com on or before 23rd November 2015.
  • Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected summarily




Important Dates


  • Online Application Filling Starting Date: 24th October 2015
  • Online Application Filling Ending Date: 23rd November 2015
  • Announcement of Provisional List of Candidates for Pragati & Saksham: 10th December 2015
  • Objections by the Candidates on Provisional Selected List Starting Date: 10th December 2015
  • Objections by the Candidates on Provisional Selected List Ending Date: 12th December 2015
  • Announcement of Final List of Selected Candidates: 20th December 2015
  • Release of Scholarship to Selected/Eligible Candidates: 20th January 2016
