• Gitam Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG and PG Technolgy and Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses

Eligibility Criteria

• Passed 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch/B.Pharm) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry 

• Candidates with Mathematics/Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology (60% aggregate marks in group and First Class/equivalent grade) and B.Pharmacy

Exam details

• The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections
• Section-A: Mathematics/Biology 40 (no of questions); 120 (marks)
• Section-B: Physics 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
• Section-C: Chemistry 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
• Total: 100 (no of question); 300 (marks)

2. Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by demand draft for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank Request for applications by post will be accepted upto 25th March, 2016
3. Applications are available throughout India in Union Bank of India/Indian Bank/Karur Vysya Bank; list of branches is available on the website

• Counseling for Admissions (2016-17): 09th to 16th June 2016
