Indian Air Force invites online application from Unmarried Male Indian Citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in April-May 2016 to join as Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades or Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades or in both Groups ‘X’ & ‘Y’ (Technical/Non-Technical in single sitting). Indian Air Force Airmen Recruitment 2015 has been announced. The online registration close on 28th November 2015.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

a) Group ‘X’ (Technical)

(i) Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (OR)

(ii) Passed 3-years Diploma in Engg (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/ Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course

b) Group 'Y' (Non-Technical)

(i) Passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent exam in any stream/subjects approved by Central State education board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (OR)

(ii) Passed 2-years Vocational course recognized by Association of Universities (CBSE/Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Education Kerala) with minimum 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matric, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course

c) Group ‘X’ & ‘Y’ (Both Technical and Non-Technical)

Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Exam with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English; if a candidate clears in all four subjects, he will be considered pass in Group ‘X’ and Group ‘Y’. Diploma holders are eligible to appear only for Group ‘X’

Date of Birth Lock

Candidates born between 01st Aug 1996 and 30th Nov 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply
In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years

Medical Standards

• Height - Minimum height required is 152.5 cms

• Chest - Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

• Weight - Proportionate to height and age

• Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable

• Hearing - Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately

• Dental - Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points

• Health - Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments

• Body Tattoo - Permanent body tattoos on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), Back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes only are permitted

How to Apply

• Online registration for the Selection Test will be available from 08th November 2015 on www.airmenselection.gov.in and will close on 28th November 2015

• After successful registration, the duly filled colour printout of online application along with all required attachments (as applicable) is required to be sent to Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) by ordinary post only, so as to reach CASB latest by 05th December 2015

• Eligible candidates to log on to www.airmenselection.gov.in for online registration and guidelines for filling up/dispatch of application form
