Indian Air Force invites online application from Unmarried Male Indian Citizens (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in April-May 2016 to join as Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades or Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades or in both Groups ‘X’ & ‘Y’ (Technical/Non-Technical in single sitting). Indian Air Force Airmen Recruitment 2015 has been announced. The online registration close on 28th November 2015.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
a) Group ‘X’ (Technical)
(i) Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (OR)
(ii) Passed 3-years Diploma in Engg (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/ Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course
b) Group 'Y' (Non-Technical)
(i) Passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent exam in any stream/subjects approved by Central State education board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (OR)
(ii) Passed 2-years Vocational course recognized by Association of Universities (CBSE/Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Education Kerala) with minimum 50% Marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matric, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course
c) Group ‘X’ & ‘Y’ (Both Technical and Non-Technical)
Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Exam with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English; if a candidate clears in all four subjects, he will be considered pass in Group ‘X’ and Group ‘Y’. Diploma holders are eligible to appear only for Group ‘X’

Candidates born between 01st Aug 1996 and 30th Nov 1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply
In case, a candidate clears the Selection Procedure then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment is 21 years
