  • MMMUT Admission 2016 to undergraduate and postgraduate Programmes will be done on the basis of the Undergraduate Entrance Exam.
  • The admissions in different undergraduate (B.Tech) and post-graduate programmes (MBA, M. Tech, MCA), Ph.D. offered in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur shall be made through the admission test and counselling conducted under the supervision and control of the University Admission Committee (UAC).
  • MMMUT Admission Test 2016 for B.Tech./MBA/MCA/M.Tech./PhD is open only to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P
  • Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur has been established in the year 2013 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh reconstituting the Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur.
  • Earlier Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College was affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). The college was reconstituted as a residential technological university by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2013.It is the first university of this type in the state.

Eligibility Criteria


  • Candidates must have passed or appearing Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 2016.
  • Minimum marks: Must have secured minimum 45% marks aggregate in PCM (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) and 50% marks in each of the subjects (45% marks in case of SC/ST).



Application process







Candidates can fill the OMR application form in due course of time via any of the three modes:
  • Mode 1:Online Application: Candidates can apply online at the official website of the university.
  • Mode 2: By Hand: Candidates can obtain the OMR application form with Information Brochure from the University counter by paying the cost of application form in cash/ demand draft.
  • Mode 3: By Post: Candidates can obtain the OMR application form with Information Brochure through post by sending a written request having a complete postal address with PIN-Code and demand draft of Rs. 1,500 for General /OBC and Rs. 750 for SC/ST/Female
The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur”.

Application Fee


  • General Category & OBC - Rs. 1500
  • Girls & SC/ST Category - Rs. 750

Tuition Fee: Approximately Rs 1,09,800 per annum for B.Tech first year (including Hostel & mess fees) and Rs. 90,000 p.a. for Non Hostellers




Selection process


MMMUT 2016 Result


The results of Admission Test 2016 along with answer keys will be declared on or before June 2016Based on performance of candidates in Admission Test 2016, separate merit list will be prepared for each course


MMMUT 2016 Counselling


Counselling shall be carried out in order of merit of eligible candidates of Admission Test 2016 based on their Combined Rank, even if they belong to the reserved category at MMMUT, Gorakhpur.Counselling for offering admission shall be held in two steps namely “Document Verification” for verification of candidature and ‘On Spot Seat Allotment’ for offer of admission





Exam pattern


  • Language: The question paper will be both in Hindi and English
  • All question papers will carry objective multiple-choice questions.
  • Answers will be evaluated by OMR methodology
  • Test Duration: 3 hours
  • Each objective type question shall have one correct answer and will carry four marks for the correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  • Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (Black/Blue) only

  • Chemistry - 200 Marks
  • Mathematics - 200 Marks
         Total - 600 Marks
