NEST Scholarship (Junior) 2016

About


  • NEST Scholarship Junior invites application only from bona-fide students of India who are currently studying in class 10,11 or 12 of science stream only. The student can appear in any of the groups of exam that are Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) OR Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM)
  • NEST Junior is a Scholarship Test for Science students and it is the 16th Edition of NEST Junior.
  • The topper of NEST Junior 2015 will get Rs. 50,000 as scholarship also 20 scholarships of Rs. 25,000 each will be distributed to the candidates on merit basis.
  • NEST Scholarship Junior 2016 Exam would be conducted on July 31, 2016 (Sunday)

Eligibility Criteria


  • Gender - Both
  • Region - All India 
  • Class/ Age - Class 10-12 
Details
  • Only bona fide students of India appearing or passing in class 10-12 exam in 2016 of the science stream can apply for NEST Junior Scholarship 2016.
  • Anyone who has won the top prize in previous editions CANNOT appear again in the same category.



NEST Junior 2016 Reward


The Prize Money for Rank 1 holder of NEST Junior Scholarship 2016 has been revised
  • The national topper will receive Rs. 50,000.
  • Other Prizes: There will be around 20 scholarships of Rs. 25,000 each

Certificates:  Certificate of appreciation are awarded to the students who scores an aggregate of 40% and above in all the four sections of the Scholarship Exam put together.


Prize distribution: The topper winning the scholarship shall be felicitated in a gathering and presided over by some  renowned  person(s) of knowledge in the last week of October 2016 in Mumbai.

  • Upload Passport Size Photo: The student has to upload a passport size photo of max. 100 kb in JPG, JPEG, GIFor TIF format. The student should keep the scanned copy of the photograph ready before you start with your application process.
  • Students applying online can make payment either via DD or Online Payment.


Offline Registration
Step by Step Guide for NEST Junior 2016 Offline Application Form

  • Step 2: Fill up the Application Form: Candidates have to fill up the Application Form correctly and Completely. Thereafter, they are required to paste a passport size photo on the application form.
  • There are TWO groups of subjects, viz. Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) and Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM). The candidate must tick-mark any ONE of them.
  • Step 3: Submit the Application Form: Candidates have to send the duly filled in Application Form to the address mentioned below by Registered Post/ Courier attached with a DD of Rs 500 in favor of SEMCI INDIA payable at Mumbai

Registration Fees


  • Rs. 500 if paid till March 31, 2016
  • A Late fee of Rs. 100: If  paid after March 31 but  till May 31, 2016
  • A Late fee of Rs. 200- If  paid after May 31, 2016 but till June 30, 2016.
  • Fees once deposited will NOT be returned even if the test is cancelled for any genuine reasons.



Application Status


  • Students can check the status of their application form by entering their registration number & Password.

Exam Pattern




It will be an online test.

Duration of the NEST Junior Scholarship Test: 2 hours

Examination Pattern: There will be 200 questions for 200 marks divided into 4 sections as given below: 

  • Physics and chemistry - 50 Marks
  • Maths/Biology- 50 Marks
  • English Language- 50 Marks
  • Logic and G.K.- 50 Marks
All sections in 2 hours - 200 marks

  • NEST Admit Card on e-mail - July 25, 2016
  • NEST Junior Exam - July 31, 2016
  • NEST Junior Scholarship result - September 5, 2016
