Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune Engineering Entrance Test 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune Engineering Entrance Test (BVP CET Engineering) 2016Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune will conduct BVP CET Engineering 2016 for admission to B.Tech Program for the academic year 2016-18. 

The students will be admitted to the Engineering Degree Courses of the College of Engineering, Pune on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test CET (Engineering) 2016.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and New Delhi, the capital city of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth University has two campuses in Pune, one on Pune-Satara Road and another at Erandwane


The College of Engineering is located at Pune-Satara Road Campus


Courses & Intake Capacities


B.Tech in Chemical (60 Seats); Civil (60 Seats); Computer (120 Seats); Electrical (60 Seats); Electronics (90 Seats); Electronics & Telecommunication (120 Seats); Information Technology (60 Seats); Mechanical (120 Seats); Production (60 Seats)



Eligibility Criteria


  • First year of B.Tech Courses: The candidate seeking admission to any of these courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSC), the Indian School Certificate Exam (ISCE), or any other exam equivalent to 10+2 or HSC exam of any recognized Board/ University from any school/college situated in India
  • Passed 10+2 Exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject; obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together
  • Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying exam i.e.. HSC etc but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for CET (Engineering)-2016, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said exams




Admission Procedure


The students will be admitted to the Engineering degree courses of the College of Engineering, Pune on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test CET (Engineering) - 2016 conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University





Exam Pattern


The examination consists of one question paper. There will be one question paper at the CET (Engineering)-2016


It will be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple-choice objective type questions with four options A, B, C, & D with only one correct choice. It will consists 100 questions on Mathematics and 100 questions on Physics


N.B.: There is no negative marking



Exam Centres


CET (Engineering) 2016 will be conducted on the date and at the time as mentioned in the calendar of events at the exam centers in the following cities: Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Vadodara, Indore, Lucknow and Bangalore

The exact location and address of the Exam Centres will be communicated to the candidates through their admission cards



How to Apply







  • A candidate desirous of appearing for the CET (Engineering) - 2016 is required to complete the prescribed application form appended at the end of this brochure and submit the same to the University
  • Instructions for completing the Application Form for CET (Engineering) 2016
  • The candidates should avoid overwriting, cutting, erasing on the form. Any discrepancies in the statements and/or submission of incomplete form will lead to its rejection/cancellation of admission
  • Completed application form must be accompanied by CET (Engineering)-2016 Fee of Rs.1500/-; it should be submitted either in person (in which case the fee can be paid by cash) or mailed (in which case the fee should be paid by Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- drawn on any nationalised bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd., payable at Pune

Important Dates


  • Last Date for Submission of Application Form to BVU CET Dept Pune: 16th May 2016 (upto 17.00 hrs)
  • Date of Exam (CET): 22nd May 2016 (11.00 am to 14.00 Hrs)
  • Date of Declaration of Result: 06th June 2016
  • Date of Counselling Start from: 20th June 2016
