GGSIPU-CET MBBS Entrance Exam 2016


About


  • Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will conduct the IPU CET MBBS 2016 Exam for admissions in undergraduate medical programmes such as MBBS and BDS
  • Admissions will be made on the basis of scores obtained in the medical entrance exam



Courses 


i) Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

ii) Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)



MBBS/BDS Eligibility Criteria


  • Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible
  • Candidate should be not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2016 for MBBS/BDS Programme



MBBS: Candidate must have passed the in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional)individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions)


  • There shall be a 2-stage CET for MBBS, the qualified students of stage - 1 shall be required to appear in the second stage
  • The merit of the second stage only shall be used for the purpose of counselling



BDS: Candidate must have passed the in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional)individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions)



How to Apply



All the candidates shall submit GGSIPU 2016 application forms only through online mode, for all Common Entrance Tests 2016

Application Form Fees


The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs.750/- plus service charge & taxes as applicable from  February, 2016, onwards

Schedule and Syllabus of GGS IPU Common Entrance Test 2016 (GGSIPU-CET 2016) 


MBBS

Candidate who qualify in stage I will be sent to stage II

Stage - I:

i) Physics - 25%
ii) Chemistry - 25% 
iii) Biology - 50%

  • Exam stage I will be held in April 2016 (Sunday, 02.00 PM - 05.00 PM) and stage II in 23rd May 2016. 
  • Date of Declaration of CET Result: State -I: May 2016



Stage -II: May 2016 

Both stages will have a question paper consisting of 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). For each correct answer, 3 marks will be given. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.


BDS
i) Physics - 25% 
ii) Chemistry - 25% 
iii) Biology - 50%

  • Date Entrance Exam: May 2016 
  • Date of Declaration of CET Result: May 2016 




Test Centers


The CET for the above mentioned programmes will be held at following centers provided sufficient number of candidates opt for a particular centre: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata and Lucknow
  • MBBS (Stage II) test will be conducted only in Delhi
  • The choices indicated by the candidates in respect to the Centres of Entrance Examination shall only be considered as their preferred choices
  • BDS test will be conducted only in Delhi

  • IPU CET MBBS Stage I Result: 10th May 2016
  • IPU CET MBBS Stage II: 22nd May 2016 
  • IPU CET MBBS Stage II Result: 3rd Jun 2016


For BDS

  • Last Date of Application: 29th March 2016
  • Proposed CET Date:  14th May 2016 
  • Date of Declaration of Result:  31st May 2016
