GGSIPU Admission Notice 2016. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi has initiated the admission process to the various courses on the basis of IPU CET 2016. Every year, IPU CET exam is conducted for granting admission to students in various UG, PG, courses in the fields of Engineering (B.Tech), Architecture, Management, Medical(MBBS/BDS), Humanities etc.

IPU CET 2016 is a university level examination, which is held every year. This is the main assessment in granting admissions to eligible candidates in numerous fields such as Technology & Engineering, Law, Nursing, Pharmacy and Education. Once the aspiring students meet the eligibility criteria, they can apply for IPU CET 2016 online.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech 

• Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. 

• Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

B.Tech (Biotechnology) 

• Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. 

• Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

Admissions Criteria

All applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET.

• Application form consists of two parts, one for the personal details and other one of the payment and course related information.

• In the first page the candidates are required to fill in the general details and other details.

• Applicants need to upload a scanned copy of passport sized color photograph and signature, (image should be of JPEG/JPG OR GIF format and less than 80 KB (size)

• After filling personal details and uploading both the photograph and signature, click on Next button to continue.

• In the next page the candidate has to fill in their qualification details.

• After submission message will appear which shows the login ID and Password for future login.

• Now you have to re login, to fill the course details and fee payment option.

• In the next step the candidates are required to pay the application fee.

• After filling the application fee and course details, click on the submit button for the submission of application form

Exam Pattern

The entrance exam for B.Tech will be conducted on May 8, 2016 where as the entrance exam for B.Tech (Biotechnology) will be conducted on May 21, 2016. 

Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online, latest by March 29, 2016 up to 4 pm.

• The test will be comprised of total 150 questions.

• The questions are asked from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th.

• The total time for the entrance test will be 150 minutes.

• For B.Tech the question will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

• There is equal weightage for all the three subjects.

• The questions will be of objective type having four answers.

• There will be negative marking for the wrong answers.

• Four marks will be given for a correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

Selection Procedure

• The Common Entrance Test IPU-CET 2016 will be conducted.

• After the declaration of result of IPU-CET 2016, a cut off will be made for B.Tech applicants.

• Then a merit list will be created and candidates will be called for the counseling for allotment of seats in the university and its affiliated colleges.

• The names of the candidates will be arranged in the decreasing order of the marks scored by them.

• The seats will be allotted to the candidates based on the ranking in the Common Entrance Test.

Important Dates

• Start of application submission for all CET Codes : 30th January, 2016

• Last date for application: 01st March, 2016

• Date of CET : 08th May, 2016

• Date of Declaration of Result : 24th May, 2016

Note:

The applications should be submitted on or before the last date. 

On the last date of application the application can be submitted by 4.00PM only.
