Bennett University has released notification for the eligible candidates for admission into various Undergraduate Programmes in the following fields for the academic year 2017-18.
Those who fill the eligibility criteria or requirement as per university norms are eligible to apply

Eligibility Criteria
For B Tech (4 Years) [Civil, CSE, ECE, EP, MECH] & B.Tech (NRI/NRI
Sponsored/Foreign National Category) Programmes:
- Academic Qualification: Min 5 Subjects in 10+2 or its equivalent exam (equivalence as defined by JEE Board). Candidates with 4 subjects in 10+2 class are not eligible.
- Candidate must obtain minimum of 60% aggregate marks in three subjects to include Physics, and Mathematics (Compulsory) and one subject amongst Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Informatics Practices and Multimedia and Web Technology. The marks shall be verified at the time of document inspection.
- Class/Age:The 10+2 or its equivalent Exam must be passed in 2015, 2016 or 2017. All candidates who are offered provisional admission during counselling will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authorities during document inspection at the time of registration, failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled.
- If the results of 10+2 examinations are likely to be declared after 15th July 2017 the candidates are advised to seek admission next year
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st Oct 1996 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Sr. Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are only eligible to apply.
For Biotech Programmes (4 Years):
- Academic Qualification: Min 5 Subjects in 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Biology/Biotechnology, as compulsory subjects. Candidates with 4 subjects in 10+2 class are not eligible.
- For B Tech in Biotechnology, candidate must obtain minimum of 60% aggregate marks in three subjects to include Physics, and Biology/Biotechnology (Compulsory) and one subject amongst Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics Practices and Multimedia and Web Technology
Selection Process
For B Tech (4 Years)
- The merit, amongst applications received for admission, shall be drawn based on the actual marks obtained by the candidate in the JEE (Main) 2017 paper 1 Exam. JEE marks in any category or state including general etc. shall not be taken into account.
- The merit list for SC/ST candidates and those belonging to the state of J&K shall be made by applying the cut off 10% below the total marks {in JEE (main) exam} obtained by the candidate short listed in the general category.
- Submission of application does not automatically qualify the candidate for participating in further selection and no refund of application fee is permissible on any account
For Biotech Programmes (4 Years)
- The merit amongst applications received shall be drawn based on the marks scored by the candidate in 10+2 examination.
- The scores shall be counted in Best of three subjects (Physics and Biology/Biotechnology being compulsory). The third subject one amongst Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics Practices and Multimedia and Web Technology
- The merit list for SC/ST candidates and those belonging to the state of J&K shall be made by applying the cut off 10% below the merited marks in 10+2 Examination obtained by the candidate short listed in the general category
- Merit list shall be loaded on the websites for all candidates whose applications are found valid. It is responsibility of the candidate to check the web site for merit lists. Ignorance shall not be accepted as an excuse
- The candidates who qualify for the admission based on Merit shall be issued Provisional admission offer letters, subject to their paying the required fee and document verification.
