National Handwriting Competition 2016

About

National Handwriting Competition 2016 is conducted by ASK India Society that invites applications from school students to participate in the competition.

The ASK India Society is a non-profit organisation established for the purpose of providing a value added student education apart from their regular academic studies. The participation fees you pay for this competition is a direct contribution towards the education of deprived children.

• National Handwriting Competition 2016 is open for students from class 1 to 12 under 3 different categories.

• The participation in National Handwriting Competition 2016 is by the means of schools only and there is a registration fee of Rs. 70 per student in order to participate in the Competition.

• The last date for the payment of the application fee to the organizers is November 30, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria

• Gender: Both

• Region: All India

• Class/Age: Class 1-12

Details: 

          Category A – Students of standard: I, II, III and IV.

          

          Category B – Students of standard: V, VI, VII and VIII.

          

          Category C – Students of standard: IX, X, XI and XII.

Rewards

Round 1: 

• There will be only one written exam and the same answer sheet will be evaluated for further rounds/ levels (if shortlisted in a particular round/level).

• This round is in among the students of an individual school. The first 3 best performers in every school, in each Category, will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the School Certificate and Medal.

Round 2: 

• Students who qualify in the Round 1 are eligible for Round 2. This round is among the students from the same State. 

• The first 3 best performers in State, in each Category, will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the State Trophy, a Certificate and Gift Hamper worth Rs. 2000/-

Round 3:

• All students who qualify in the Round 2 are eligible for Round 3. This round is among the students of different states. 

• The first 3 best performers, in each Category, in India will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the Nation Trophy, a Certificate and Gift Hamper worth of Rs. 5000/-

All the participants will receive Participation Certificates and Score Report.

How to Apply

• The application has to be made through the school.

• The enrollment fees is Rs. 70/- (Rupees Seventy Only) per participant. A Demand Draft from any Nationalised Bank should be taken for the collected amount.

• The Demand Draft should be taken in the name of ASK Learning Centre 

• The Demand Draft should be payable at CHENNAI.

• The Demand Draft and the School Registration Form should be couriered to the below mentioned National Controller's Office at Hyderabad on or before 30th November 2016.

Alternate method of Registration for Schools

Schools can avoid DD and Courier charges by sending School's Registration information through email and by depositing the collected amount into below mentioned  bank account.

As the School will incur an expenditure like DD Commission charges and courier charges, the school can retain 10% (Rs.7 per student) of the collected amount and make a DD for the rest of the amount.

Selection Criteria

Examination Pattern

• The medium of examination will be English.

• The question paper for Category B and C will be the same. Category A has to write in a four-ruled paper.

• The duration of the exam is for 20 minutes.

• There will be only one written exam and the same answer sheet will be evaluated for further rounds/levels (if shortlisted in a particular round/level).

Evaluation Criteria

The following points are considered while evaluating the answer papers:

• Legibility and neatness.

• Font formation and uniformity in fonts.

• Joining or connectivity between letters(in cursive handwriting) and Spacing between letters(in print handwriting)

• Pen strokes and their angle.

• Legibility in the formation of numbers.

• Presentability of your script by underlining with colour pens.

• There will be negative marking for pressure applied on paper.

• National Handwriting Competition School level Results: First week of January, 2017.
