United world Institute of Design (UID) conducts UID Aptitude Test to offer admission to aspirants in any design stream/discipline offered at the college. UID offers Bachelor of Design as well as Master of Design Programmes to candidates on the basis of their performance in UID Aptitude Test 2017.

Eligibility Criteria


The eligibility criteria for UID Aptitude Test 2017 is different for UG and PG design courses offered at Unitedworld Institute of Design. The UID Entrance Exam eligibility criteria for courses offered at UID are as mentioned below:

  • For B Design Courses: Minimum 10+2, higher secondary education with minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized higher secondary school board as on date of commencement of academic session from July 2017.

  • Clearance and merit of Design Aptitude Analysis exam for admission

  • Age Limit: 20 years 


Aspirants need to clear UID Aptitude Test 2017 in order to secure admissions in design programmes offered at Unitedworld Institute of Design. 

How to Apply


Step 1: Fill UID Aptitutde Test Application Form


  • Applicants are advised to download the UID Design Aptitude Test application form from the official website of UID. The form must be carefully filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting. The application form for UID entrance exam should be supported by all relevant documents that are mentioned in the UID brochure
  • In case a candidate is applying for BDesign programme and is appearing for his/her Class 12 higher secondary exam, then he/she needs to attach related documents in his/her application form.
  • In case a candidate is appearing for his/her third or fourth year of graduation exam, then he/she needs to attach related documents in the application form
  • UID Aptitude Test 2017 Application Fee - Rs.2000/-



Step 2: Download UID Aptitude Test Admit Card


  • Further, they also need to show the exam ticket issued by the college to the exam supervisor. If any candidate does not have the UID entrance exam admit card he/she will not be allowed to take the entrance exam



Step 3: Give UID Aptitude Test


  • UID Aptitude Test 2017 for BDesign and MDesign will be conducted in February 2017. 
  • This design entrance exam will comprise of General IQ Test, Critical Analysis Test and Creative Ability Test.



Step 4: Appear for UID Counselling Process

  • In the counselling round, shortlisted candidates are explained all the details related to the courses on offer at UID. Apart from that, any query related to the admission process of UID is also handled in the counselling round.


Exam Pattern


UID Design Aptitude Test for BDesign admissions is conducted in the month of February. Total marks which aspirants can secure in UID Design Aptitude Test is 100. The duration of UID entrance exam is two and a half hours.


UID Entrance Exam comprises of a written test, candidates who are shortlisted in this admission round then have to appear for a Creative Situation Test as well as Personal Interview and Portfolio Round. Candidates who perform well in all these rounds are then selected for admission in design courses offered at UID.


As part of UID Aptitude Test 2017 exam pattern, candidates need to clear two rounds which are as follows:

Round 1: Students are given situations on the basis of which they have to make models. They are also given some questions in which they have to sketch and answer.

Round 2: In this admission round, candidates need to appear for personal interviews wherein they need to carry their portfolios

UID Design Aptitude Test 2017 is scheduled to be conducted in 13 cities across India

UID Design Aptitude Test 2017 centres are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Patna, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nagpur

  • Last Date for filling up Application Form: 30th January 2017
  • UID Aptitude Test 2017 is scheduled to be conducted on 05th February 2017
