Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test is being conducted for the award of NEST- Junior Scholarships. Applications are invited from bonafide students of all recognized schools/colleges of Class X, XI & XII (Science Stream only) for the award of Several Scholarships worth Rs 25,000/- to Rs 50,000/- each.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) 2017.
Certificate of Appreciation are also awarded to all high scoring candidates in the test with All India Ranking (AIR). Only for those students who are currently studying in Class X, XI & XII i.e. who are appearing in 2017 exams
About SEMCI (India) and The S.U. Foundation of India (S.U.F.I)
SEMCI and S.U.F.I are the conducting body of NEST Junior Scholarship Test S.U.F.I is a Non-Governmental Organisation which has been a serious concern about the social, economic and educational welfare of individuals and groups. It is the chief sponsor of NEST. SEMCI India is the flag bearer of S.U.F.I and started with the business of organizing events of all kinds in general, but with a special focus on social and educational events.

- Only those students who are appearing or passing out their Class X, XI & XII exams of 2017 are eligible to apply for NEST-Junior-2017
- Anyone who has won the top prize in previous editions CANNOT appear again in the same category.
NEST Junior Scholarship Reward
The Prize Money for Rank 1 holder of NEST Junior Scholarship 2017 are as follows:
- The national topper will receive Rs. 50,000
- Other Prizes: There will be around 20 scholarships of Rs. 30,000 each
Certificates: Certificates of Appreciation shall be awarded to all candidates who score aggregate of 40% and above of all the four sections put together in the test
Prize Distribution: The topper winning the scolarships shall be falicitated in a gathering presided over by some renowned person/s of knowledge and/or enterprise in the Last week of October 2017 in Mumbai
How to Apply
Please log on to www.nest.net.in to apply and pay fees Online or Please follow the below given steps if you are sending applications by post /courier
Step-I: Download the Application Form from www.nest.net.in/application_form.htm
Step-II: Fill up the application form correctly and completely and paste your latest photograph in the space provided on it
- There are TWO groups of subjects, viz Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) and Physics, Chemistry & Maths (PCM). The candidate must tick-mark any ONE of them.
Online Registration
Upload Passport Size photo: The student has to upload a passport size photo of max. 100kb in JPG, JPEG, GIF or TIF format. The student should keep the scanned copy of the photograph ready before you start with your application process.
Students applying online can take payment either via DD or Online payment.
Registration Fees
- Rs. 500 if paid till 31 March 2017
- A late fee of Rs. 100 if paid after 31 March but till 31 May, 2017
- A late fee of Rs. 200- if paid after 31 MAY 2017, but till 30 June 2017
- Fees once deposited will NOT be returned even if the test is cancelled for any genuine reasons.

Exam Scheme
The scholarships are awarded based on merit in an online test of 02 hours for 200 questions for 200 marks; the test comprises of four sections of 50 questions each (one mark for each question) in Physics & Chemistry, Maths /Biology, English Language and Simple Logic & General Knowledge
NEST 2016 Syllabus
The content and level of questions are based on SSC and HSC books prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and other State boards in India. The test comprises of four sections as given below:
- Physics & Chemistry (50 Questions & 50 Marks)
- Maths / Biology (50 Questions & 50 Marks)
- English Language (50 Questions & 50 Marks)
- Logic & General Knowledge (50 Questions & 50 Marks)
Total - All Sections in Two Hours (200 Questions & 200 Marks)
