The eCHAT 2017 is hotel management exam which will be conducted in Online mode across various test centres in India on May 14, 2017.
The Commom Hotel admission Test is for admission to all the campus of IIHMs in India. The Admission will be done on the basis of eCHAT and GDPI. IIHM means International Institute of Hotel Management.It main campus is in Kolkata.Recently IIHM issued a notification that they are going to conduct an entrance exam in association with the Edexel.
The entrance exam is Edexel Common Hotel Admission Test (eCHAT).eCHAT is the online platform which provides Common Hotel Admission Test to all of the International Institute of Hotel Management.IIHM is very popular institute of hotel management and there are many students who are study there.
Interested candidates can fill the application forms on the official website of the IIHM before the last date of submission. Admit cards will be release soon on the official website of the IIHM.

IIHM eCHAT 2017 Courses
Courses offered at the IIHM are :
- BA is Hospitality Management, Awarding Body is the University of West London.
- B.Sc in Hotel Management,Catering and Tourism
Under the B.A in Hospitality in West london Course, the candidates are sent to London for projects for one year.
e-CHAT Eligibility Criteria
- Age: The age of the candidate should be between 17-22 years as on 1 July 2017.
- Academic Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10+2. English should be the core subject in the curriculum.
How to Apply
Step 1: Register for IIHM eCHAT 2017
Candidates can get their IIHM e-CHAT 2017 Application Forms either online or offline.
- MODE 1:From IIHM Campus: Aspirants can collect the application form as well as prospectus for IIHM eCHAT at any of the IIHM campuses and submit it (duly-filled) in person or by post at the respective college campus by making a payment of Rs. 600 by cash, cheque or DD in favour of "International Institute of Hotel Management", payable at Kolkata/ Delhi/ Pune/ Bangalore/ Jaipur/ Ahmedabad/ Hyderabad.
- MODE 2: Download the Application Form: Candidates can also download the IIHM eCHAT application form from the official website of the college, fill it completely, and submit it at any one of the IIHM campuses along with cash, cheque or DD of Rs. 300 in favour of "International Institute of Hotel Management", payable at Kolkat/ Delhi/ Pune/ Bangalore/ Jaipur/ Ahmedabad/ Hyderabad.
- MODE 3: Apply Online: Candidates can also apply online for IIHM eCHAT at the official website. If a candidate fills the application form for IIHM eCHAT in the online mode, then prospectus will be sent to their address via post. It may be noted that the online registration will be activated only after receipt of exam fees made by the candidate in the online mode.

Step 2: Receive IIHM eCHAT 2017 Admit Card
The admit card for IIHM eCHAT will be sent via email to candidates once they successfully submit their application form for IIHM entrance exam.
Candidates can download their IIHM eCHAT admit card by following the below mentioned steps:
- Enter user ID
- Enter password
- Submit the details
- Print/download IIHM eCHAT admit card
Candidates who have submitted their application forms offline will also be emailed the admit card on the email ID they have mentioned on the application form. Apart from this, the admit card for such students will also be sent via Regd. Post/Speed Post or Courier.
Step 3: Appear for IIHM eCHAT 2017
- Candidates need to appear for IIHM eCHAT at the test centres selected by them in their application form.
- Candidates can only appear for IIHM entrance exam online.
Step 4: Appear for GDPI
After clearing IIHM eCHAT, candidates are further shortlisted for admissions on the basis of their performance in the group discussion and personal interview round.

IIHM eCHAT exam pattern: Candidates are tested on various grounds in IIHM entrance exam. The test paper for IIHM contains many different types of questions in order to test the aptitude as well as skills of aspirants.

IIHM eCHAT 2017 Scholarship
- Those candidates who have 80% or above in 12th class or in any other exam which is equivalent to +2 will awarded a scholarship in tuition fees of of 15%
- Those candidates who have 90% or above in 12th class or in any other exam which is equivalent to +2 will awarded a scholarship in tuition fees of of 30%
- Special scholarships will be given to those candidates who are sponsored by Non Government Organisation (NGO) or any trust.
