Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU Entrance Exam 2017. JNU is offering admission in various Undergraduate Courses for the academic year 2017-18. The admissions for BA (Hons) for  the year 2017-18 will be made through JNU Entrance Exam 2017.


Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold Entrance Exam in May 2017 for admission to various full-time programs of study at the following 52 cities:

JNU B.A Foreign Languages


School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies in JNU is the only institution of its kind in the country where facilities for teaching and research in most of the major foreign languages are available. The courses aim at developing competence and proficiency in spoken as well as written language.

JNU offers admission to various courses and this section is dedicated for admission for Bachelor of Arts degree in the following foreign languages:

  • KOREAN
  • PERSIAN
  • RUSSIAN
  • SPANISH



Remedial courses in English Language offered in JNU: To facilitate students coming from varying backgrounds with medium of instructions other than English at their Bachelor's/Master's level. The University has inbuilt facilities for remedial courses in English Language in order to enable them to strengthen their foundation in English as well as to cope with their academic and research programmed adequately.


Eligibility Criteria


  • BA (Hons) (1st year): Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent exam with minimum of 45% marks or; Certificates issued by Madrasas with at least 45% marks

How to Apply


Candidates can apply either Online or Offline

Online Application: Candidates can apply online on payment of prescribed fee if any have access to a Computer, a printer and Internet by logging on to JNU website www.jnu.ac.in




Offline Application: Set of Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained through Post by sending Crossed Bank Draft for Rs.300/- favour of "Jawaharlal Nehru University", payable at New Delhi along with a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms clearly indicating the program of study for which the Application Form is required to the self-addressed envelope to the

  • BA (Hons) (1st year) and are not required to submit separate application forms for each field of study
  • In case a candidate submits more than one application form for the same level of programs of study, his/her candidature will be rejected
