Panjab University, Chandigarh announces admissions for BHMS, B.Sc. (Hons.) and B.Pharm. 

PUCET 2017 will be conducted by Panjab University in the month of June 2017, for admission to  BHMS, BSc and B.Pharma in Panjab University.

Age: The candidate who has attained 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of the admission can also apply

50% Marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subject: Biology/Biotechnology/ Mathematics

B.Sc Botany and Zoology
Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

Anthropology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics (Specialisation in Electronics)
Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology

Biochemistry, Microbiology
Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology

Biotechnology, Biophysics
Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science

Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects


How to Apply

  • Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
  • Take print out of bank slip (bank slip can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
  • Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip. [last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch: May 20, 2017 (Saturday).
  • Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned passport size photograph, signature, fill other important information and Save and Confirm. (Once you confirm the form, you will not be allowed to change information in the form). [last date for completion of form: May 23, 2017 (Tuesday)
  • Download your Admit Card after May 29, 2017 (Monday).

Merit List will be prepared as under


Weightages for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) and B. Pharm. :

  • Qualifying Examination (+2): 25%
  • PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test: 75%



Exam Pattern


The Test will be conducted in the subjects of (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Mathematics.

  • For every wrong answer, 25% marks allotted to the question will be deducted
  • The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only. 
  • The candidate will be required to choose a suitable combination of subjects depending on his/her
  • choice of the course(s) and subjects he/she has studied in 10 +2. Possible combinations are PCB/PCM/M.

CET FEE [ NON-REFUNDABLE/ NON-TRANSFERABLE]:

  • General Category (PCB / PCM / M) Rs. 2100/-
  • SC/ST/PwD Category (PCB / PCM / M) Rs. 1050/-
  • Additional Paper (Biology / Math) Rs. 300/-



Result



  • No separate Result Cards will be issued.

  • Date of Availability of Prospectus and online Entrance Test Form: April 18, 2017 
  • Last date for submission of information on the website to generate the Bank Challan: May 17, 2017
  • Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State bank of India using website generated challan: May 20, 2017
  • Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website: May 23, 2017
  • Availability of Admit Card Online: May 29, 2017
  • Date of Entrance Test:June 04, 2017 (Sunday)
  • Date of declaration of result:June 12, 2017
