NIIT University (NU), Alwar has invited applications for admission to four-year Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) Programme for the session 2017-19.
NU offers admission to B.Tech Programme via two modes:
- Early Admission Mode (EAD Round 1 & EAD Round 2)
- Regular Admission Mode (RAD Round 1 & RAD Round 2)
NU offered to applicants who are appearing for their Class XII Board Examinations in March-April 2017 as also to those who have taken their Class XII Board Exam not earlier than March 2015.
NU offers the following streams under the B.Tech Programmes: Biotechnology (BT), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).

- Class/Age: 12th class
Details:
- Application should have scored 60% marks or equivalent in grades in Class X from CBSE/ICSE/any other board in India or its equivalent from any other country in five subjects (four compulsory subjects are English, Mathematics, Science and Social study).
- Fifth subject, for all Boards in India or its equivalent from any other country, can be any single high scoring subject) 60% marks or equivalent in grade in Class X.
- Candidates should be appearing for Class XII Board Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or PCM or PCMB as subjects for (BT) stream in Mar/Apr 2017 or should possess the score of Class XII Board examination from year 2015 or 2016.
- Have a minimum score of 60% in Class XII Board exam.
- Should have JEE Main/BITSAT/SAT/Any other State Engineering Entrance Examination’s rank/score otherwise applicant will be required to appeared in the NIIT University Engineering Test (NUET)
Eligibility Criteria Equivalence for IB and IGCSE Programmes
For B.Tech Program applicants, who are appearing either for the Cambridge, IGCSE exam (A Level) or International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and/or Biology, admission and scholarship (if eligible) would be granted based on the predicted score.
The applicant will enroll at NIIT University and deposit the applicable fee.
On receiving results, latest by 10th August 2017, the admission and scholarship will be confirmed and the candidate will need to deposit the applicable fee, based on the actual score achieved.
How to Apply
Interested in seeking admissions in NU under the Admissions Mode (EAD/RAD) to either the B.Tech or the B.Tech-M.Tech Integrated Dual Degree Programme has to follow the procedure given below:
Step 1: Download the admission application form www.niituniversity.in or obtain it from any of the designated Admission Offices of NU; the Application fee can be paid either online or by cash or by crossed demand draft in favor of NIIT University, payable at New Delhi
Step 2: Submit the duly completed admission application form along with all the required documents, using any of the following modes:
Online at our website: www.niituniversity.in; attach scanned copies of all the required documents as specified in the application form
Courier the printed copy of the form by post to the
NU Central Admissions Office at NIIT House,
85, Sector 32, Institutional Area,
Gurgaon, Haryana-122001
Step 3: Schedule your PCI online by selecting the PCI location closest to you and the time slot most convenient for you. In case you need assistance to schedule the PCI, please contact the admissions office.
Step 4: Candidates must have appeared in JEE-Main or BITSAT or SAT or Any State Engineering Entrance Exam or NUET (NIIT University Engineering Test) as a part of selection process.
Step 5: The eligible applicants undergo the PCI (Personal Counseling Interaction) either face-to-face or through video conferencing on the day and time selected by them.
Step 6: Selected candidates should submit the acceptance Letter duly signed by them and their parent/guardian within 5 working days of receiving the letter along with a non-refundable acceptance cum admission processing fee:
- INR 20,000 under EAD-Round 1
- INR 25,000 under EAD-Round 2, RAD-Round 1&2
Step 7: Students join the University campus on July 13th /14th, 2017 & start with the ‘Head Start program’ and complete the first registration formalities including submission of original mark-sheet of Class X and XII; the programme starts on July 15, 2017

Important Dates
- Application Start Date: 25th September 2016
- Application Submission Deadline EAD: 31st January 2017
- Personal Counseling Interaction (PCI): Within 7 days of application submission
- NUET: Along with the PCI, if required
- Admission Offer: Within two working days of completion of PCI
- Parent Interaction: Same day as PCI or based on prior appointment
- Admission Acceptance by Candidate: Within 5 working days of receiving the offer letter
- Submit Class XII Admit Card copy by 31st March 2017
- Intimate Class XII results by: 06th June 2017 or with the application form
- Enrollment EAD by: 06th June 2017
- Registration & Programme Commencement: 13th / 14th July 2017
