Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam AEEE 2016

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is conducting Entrance Exam every year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech Degree Programs offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore)





Courses Offered


The various B.Tech Programmes offered in the three Schools of Engineering are listed below:


  • Amritapuri Campus: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Bengaluru Campus: Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Coimbatore Campus: Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering





Eligibility Criteria


Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

  • Age: Candidates shall be born on or after 01st July 1995
  • Educational Qualification: A pass in 10+2 (class XII) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects (or)
  • A three-year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education





Selection Procedure


Candidates will be selected based on rank obtained from the AEEE entrance test conducted by the university



AEEE 2016 Exam Pattern

  • There are two modes of examination will be held which include online computer based test (CBT) and pen paper mode test (P&P)
  • Total number of question will be 100 and each question will carry 3 marks
  • Exam duration will be 2½ hours. Keep in mind negative marking facility is applied to AEEE exam 2016 and your one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer (for details visit www.amrita.edu)



Application Form

  • The application form can be downloaded from the website www.amrita.edu of Amrita University
  • Application can be submitted either online or using printed OMR application form
  • Application Fee Rs.1000/- for CBT as well as P&P (application fee once paid will not be refunded)



By Post:

  • Applications can be procured in person from the Admission office of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengalur or Coimbatore on producing a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of "Amrita School of Engineering" payable at Coimbatore
  • Application can also be obtained by post, from the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengalure or Coimbatore (address given below), on a written request indicating applicant's full communication address together with a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of "Amrita School of Engineering" payable at Coimbatore

  • If there is any difficulty faced by the candidate to complete the application, please send email to admissions@amrita.edu. Payment can be done through either Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking
  • In case if you are paying the application form fee as demand draft, you should have the demand draft with you for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of "Amrita School of Engineering", payable at Coimbatore

  • Issue of OMR application form begins: 02nd November 2015 (Monday)
  • Last Date of Issue of OMR Application Form: 19th March 2016 (Saturday)
  • Last Date of Receiving Completed Applications (OMR & Online): 21st March 2016 (Monday)
  • Date of Computer Based Test (CBT) AEEE 2016: 17th, 18th and 19th April 2016 (Sunday, Monday & Tuesday)
  • Date of Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P): 23rd April 2016 (Saturday, 10.00 am to 12.30 pm)
