CBSE Expression Series 2015 on Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam

About 


  • In order to increase the participation of the students and overall development of students, CBSE is organizingCBSE Expression Series 2015.
  • CBSE will conduct the Expression Series on second Friday and Saturday of every month and the topics for the same will be uploaded on second Friday of the month.
  • The ‘Expression Series’ will focus not only on the contribution of great leaders of India but also on several important issues related to women, society (both rural and urban) and nation.

Eligibility Criteria


  • Nationality: The Competition is open for the nationals of India only.
  • Academic Status: The applicant must be a student of Class 1-12.
  • Original Work: The essay/poem being submitted for the CBSE Expression Series should be an original work of the participant.
  • Language: The work can be in English or any of the 22 Scheduled Languages.




Reward


All the participants and the winners will be awarded with certificates and cash prize will be awarded to the winner. The details of the Prizes are as follow:

  • Cash Prize: The winners from each category will be awarded with cash prize of Rs.2500 and Certificate of Merit.
  • Inclusion of entry in the book/ebook: The winning entries will be compiled in the form of a book/e-book for wider sharing of the idea and thoughts.
  • Certificates: All the students participating in the expression series will be awarded with Certificate of Participation.




Application Mode and Process



The entries can be submitted online as well as offline, the details related to submission are mentioned toward the end of the same page. In order to participate in the CBSE Expression Series, the applicants need to follow the below mentioned guidelines:


  • Language: The Submission can be in any of the 22 scheduled languages or in English as well.
  • Categories: The expression series has been divided into 3 categories on the basis of the classes of the participants:
  1. Category 1: Students of class 1to 5.
  2. Category 2: Students of class 6-8.
  3. Category 3: Students of class 9-12.
  • Topic of the Expression series: Different topics has been provided for different categories. The categorywise details of the topics are as follow:


  • Category 1 (Word limit: 500)

  • Category 2 (Word limit: 500)
  1. October 31, 2015 - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in Indian freedom struggle


  • Category 2 (Word limit: 700)

Submission of the Entries



There are three methods which can be used in order to complete the submission, the details of the submission are as follow:
  • Online Submission: For online submission the students can visit CBSE’s Website, enter the details and complete the submission by filling all the required details.
  • Offline Submission: Offline submission can be done from home or school, the students need to download the form, take the printout of the same, fill in the details, write the essay or poem in the space provided, scan the form and upload it by the means of CBSE’s Website.
  • Mobile Application: The applicants can take photo of their completely filled application form and upload them to the given mobile numbers.

Selection Process


  • Only original entries are required to be sent for the competition, plagiarized or copied entries may lead to the disqualification of the participation.
  • Multiple Registration in case of online Registration on CBSE Website may lead to disqualification.
  • In order to verify the originality there will also be a telephonic interaction.
  • The decision regarding the winners will be taken by an expert panel.
