AIEED 2016 | All India Entrance Examination for Design

About


  • All India Entrance Examination for Design is conducted by ARCH Academy of Design for admission to Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes. Arch Academy of Design was established in 2000 and located in Jaipur.
  • AIEED exam is for admission into undergraduate design courses and conducted in two modes – Online and Offline(Centre Based) for the convenience of prospective applicants.
  • Students can appear in the Online AIEED Exam from either home or cyber café. There are no specific test centres for the online exam.
Candidates will have to appear for the online entrance exam at the allotted date and time Slot for which they have to submit choices in order of preference: 

  1. Option 1: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
  2. Option 2:   2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
  3. Option 3:  6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
However candidates can write the offline AIEED Centre Based examination from any of the 13 cities across India.

Eligibility Criteria



  • Candidates who have Appeared for/Cleared Class Class 12 from CBSE /ICSE/ IB/ State Board/ NIOS or equivalent as per UGC Guidelines are eligible to write AIEED Exam.
  • Only Class 12 Appearing or Cleared applicants are eligible for the UOR/ KSOU University degree component of the programme.
  • Students applying for Undergraduate Interior Design program with a valid NATA score/ JEE Main Paper 2 rank are exempted from AIEED exam and will be directly called for interview. They Need to FillApplication Form only.
  • Class 10+1 Students can also write AIEED Exam. Qualifying students will be eligible for direct admission in Academic session 2017-18  after clearing the interview.



Application process



Candidates can apply via any one of the 3 modes discussed below
  • Mode 1: Download: Candidates can download the Application Form from the official website
  • Mode 2: Purcahse: Candidates also have the option to purchase prospectus from ARCH Academy of Design Centre, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur either by Cash or DD drawn in favor of “Arch Educational Society” payable at Jaipur, & fill and submit the Form included in the package.
  • Mode 3: Online Application: Candidates can fill the AIEED 2016 Application Form Online through Internet from any place of convenience.

Steps involved in the online Application process
  • Step 1: Fill in all required information in the Application Form
  • Step 2: Fill in the Demand Draft details
  • Step 3: Upload Passport size colour photograph of Maximum 1 MB (.jpg/.jpeg Format) size.
  • Step 4: Dispatch/submit the form.

For those who have Applied Online

  • If the Payment has been made via Debit Card/Credit Card: Candidates do not have to send anything.
  • If the payment has been made via Demand Draft: The Demand Draft should be sent either by Registered post / Speed post / Courier to the below mentioned address:

  • If the Payment has been made in Bank of India branch: Students paying through Bank of India needs to send the scanned copy of receipt and personal details (name, course, phone number) on admission@archedu.org for reference.

  • If the Application Form has been purchased;  These candidates must have done the payent either in Cash or DD drawn in favor of “Arch Educational Society” payable at Jaipur, & fill. But they have to Submit the Form included in the package at the below mentioned address:

Application Fee


Candidates are required to pay Rs. 1500 towards the Application Fee charges which can be paid via either of the three modes mentioned below:
  • Mode 1: Internet Banking: Candidates can pay the Application Fee charges either using Debit/Credit Card if you wish to make Online payment
  • Mode 2: Demand Draft: The Demand draft mentioning the name and phone number at the back has to be drawn in favor of "Arch Educational Society" payable at Jaipur.
  • Mode 3: Payment in Bank of India branch: Candidates can pay the Application Fee through Bank of India: The bank details are as follows:

Selection Process


The cumulative performance in all parameters mentioned below will be considered for the final selection of candidates. The selection of candidate is strictly merit based.
  • Performance in past education field
  • AIEED Exam Result ( NATA/CAT/ MAT AIEEE score in the respective courses)
  • Performance in Interview + Portfolio.
AIEED Personal Interview
Interviews would be scheduled for candidates who qualify the AIEED exam at ARCH Campus, Jaipur as per the time specified in the call letter for the final selection. 
Documents to be carried at the time of Interview
The candidate needs to bring all the following attested documents at the time of interview:
  • Mark sheets of Class 10 and 12 (original & attested photo copy)
  • 4 Passport size Photographs
  • An attested migration and transfer certificate
  • SC/ST, Others (Physically Challenged, NRI, Defense, Artisans) should submit an attested proof.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Portfolio at the time of interview: A Portfolio reflects on the candidates interests & abilities and is a collection of any previous creative work done by the candidate in the form of illustrations, sketches, photographs, essays, prose etc
The documents will be cross checked and the result of the interview will be announced on the same day.


Exam pattern


  • Duration: is 3 hrs and 15 minutes.
  • Question paper of is combination of Creative Ability Test & General Ability Test (AIEED = CAT + GAT).
  • To assess design sensitivity, problem-solving, creative skills logical reasoning & awareness on global issues is the testing parameters. T
  • Total number of questions are: 45 – 50 
  • Total Marks: 200
  • You can write Exams in the Online format or the Offline format.
  • Medium: Question papers are Bilingual – Hindi & English.
  • The Offline Exam can be answered in either language. The Online Exam needs to be answered in English only
