ALCAT 2016 | Alliance Common Law Admission Test

Alliance University, Bangalore invites applications for admission to 5-years Integrated Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law (Honors) (BA LLB), 5-years Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Law, (Honors) (BBA LLB), 1-year Master of Law (LLM) and 3-years Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law programs offered at Alliance School of Law for the session 2016 through ALCAT 2016.

The notification for Alliance Univ ALCAT 2016 Alliance Common Law Admission Test has been announced.







Programmes offered


The Programmes offered are B.A. LL.B (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D in Law programs at Alliance School of Law, Alliance University for the academic year 2016







Eligibility Criteria


  • For B.A LL.B/BBA LL.B Programs: Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST candidates)
  • For LL.M Program: Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in LL.B /B.L or any other graduate degree in law recognized by bar council of India (BCI) with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)
  • For Ph.D Program: Candidate should have a master’s degree in LL.M (any branch) with a minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized university






How to Apply





Interested and eligible applicants can apply online (for BA LLB /BBA LLB /LLM and PhD programs) by going through the official website of university.


Application Form and Prospectus for the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Law (Honors) and LLM can be obtained from the Office of Admission on payment of Rs.1000/- for NRI and SAARC national applicants and US $50 for other foreign national applicants) in cash or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Alliance University", payable at Bangalore.


Alliance Law College PhD Application Cost - Rs.3000/- (US $ 100 for the other foreign national applicants)





Pattern of ACLAT (Under-Graduate Programme)







Selection Procedure


  • For B.A LL.B/BBA LL.B Programs: Selection is based on scores obtained in CLAT/LSAT/Alliance Common Law Admission Test (ACLAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
  • For LLM Program: Selection is based the scores in ACLAT and personal interview
  • For Ph.D ProgramSelection is based on the performance in the entrance test

  • Open of priority application round: 01st October 2015 (Thursday)
  • End of priority application round: 10th December 2015 (Thursday)

  • For Bangalore Location: 12th December 2015 (Saturday)
  • For Delhi Location: 21st December 2015 (Monday)
  • For Kolkata Location: 22nd December 2015 (Tuesday)
