Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam - (AEEE 2016)

About


  • AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam) is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University) on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in its three campuses.
  • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts Engineering Entrance Exam every year admissions for the engineering courses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).
  • Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria and qualifies AEEE will be admitted to the first year of B.Tech. programmes (2016-20) through counselling, based on their ranks in the AEEE 2016.

Eligibility Criteria



  • Candidate must have passed in class 12 examination or equivalent with an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these subjects.
  • A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.
  • Candidates appearing in Class 12 examination in 2016 may also appear for the AEEE 2016 Engineering Entrance Exam

Students can apply for  AEEE 2016 either in online or in offline mode. 

The candidate can get Amrita engineering entrance exam application form from the following modes.

From the University counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering- The application form is available at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore on producing a Demand Draft                                                                                                                                                        

Demand Draft Details for AEEE 2016
  • DD for  Rs 1000  drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore
  • Candidate should write his / her Name and "B.Tech. Application" on backside of the Demand Draft.
  • Post Office/ Bank- Forms are available at select branches of Post office, Dhanlaxmi bank, Federal bank 






By Post: The application form can be requested from the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore (address given below), on a written request indicating the following things :

Application Fees



AEEE 2016 Application Fees is Rs. 1000




Selection process


  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of AEEE 2016 Rank list which will be published in the University website within two weeks of the last examination.
  • No other entrance exam except AEEE 2016 will be considered for admission into Amrita University School of Engineering.
  • No Revaluation, rechecking or retotalling:  The answer sheets are machine graded and scrutinized with precision so the request for revaluation,rechecking or retotalling will not be entertained.
  • Counselling: Counselling for admission will be in May / June 2016




Exam pattern


  • Duration: 3 hours duration.
  • Total Questions: There will be 100 multiple choice questions.
  • Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one is correct / most appropriate.
  • Marks: Each question carries 3 marks
  • Negative Marking: There is a Negative marking in AEEE 2016 and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  • Marks for each questions-3 Marks
  • Total Marks-300 Marks
