- Indian Army invites applications from Female Candidates (only) for Indian Army BSc Nursing Admission 2016 course and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course.The candidates will be offered admission in either College of Nursing or Schools of Nursing on the basis of merit cum choice, (subject to a vacancy in each College /School).
- Indian Army Nursing course will commence in July / August 2016 at Colleges of Nursing.Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course will commence in September 2016 at Schools of Nursing of Armed Forces Hospitals.

Eligibility criteria
Only Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated or widow without encumbrances are eligible.
Eligibility of the candidate will be known while submitting the online application.
- Nationality - Indian
- Age Limit – The candidate should have born between August 1, 1991, and July 31, 1999. Both days inclusive.
- Educational Qualification – Candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination, as a regular student in all the subjects ie PCB as elective subjects and not optional and vocational (in both theory and practical)
- Candidate should have passed English, in FIRST ATTEMPT from a recognized Board/University.
- Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).
- Appearing candidates are eligible: Candidates who will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally.

Step 4: After successful payment of the application fee candidates are required to enter the challan Journal number given by the SBI branch where the cash is deposited. to complete the online submission of application.
Admit Card: The admit card for the written test can be generated only online by the candidate from February 2, 2016.
Examination Centers:
Bangalore, Chandimandir, Chennai, Danapur, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Ezhimala (Cannanore) and Wellington.
Application Fee
Eligible candidates will only be able to generate a Bank Challan of Rs 150 in favour of DGAFMS Examination Board Fund State Bank of India, Central Secretariat, New Delhi.
Selection process
- Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test likely to be held in February 2016.
- A merit list will be made on the basis of the written test and candidates will be called for the interview during April 2016.
- Final selection will be based on combined merit of written test & interview, subject to medical fitness.
- Admissions to Colleges of Nursing/Schools of Nursing will be offered in accordance with the merit cum choice subject to a vacancy in each College/School of Nursing.
Exam pattern
- Duration of the written test: 90 minutes
- Subjects covered: General English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Intelligence
Medical Examination
- After the interview, the recommended candidates will appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB).
- Candidates declared Fit/Unfit will be informed by the President of the Medical board including the procedure of requesting for Appeal/Review Medical Board.
