Quest University David W. Strangway Scholarship for Undergraduate Studies

About



  • David W. Strangway Awards for Excellence is named after the University's first President and Founding Chancellor.
  • This undergraduate scholarship to study in Canada is given for pursuing undergraduate studies at Quest University Canada. The University was established in 2007. The University offers only one degree that is Bachelor of Arts and Sciences.
  • The goal of the award is to provide access to Quest's unique education to outstanding students regardless of their background, country of origin, or ability to pay.
  • Students with a high school average above 90% (3.75 US or equivalent) are encouraged to apply.

Details
  • Academic Requirement: A high school average above 90% (3.75 US or equivalent) are encouraged to apply. The applicant should have demonstrated academic excellence combined with an outstanding record of leadership.
  • English Language Requirement: Students who have completed schooling in English are exempt from the below given English proficiency test requirements.
  • TOEFL Score: Students who achieve at least 580 (paper-based), or 90 (internet-based) with a minimum score of 21 in each of 4 testing sections are encouraged to apply
  • IELTS Score:  IELTS score of 6.5 or higher in each of the four areas (reading, speaking, listening, writing)





Reward



  • The scholarship is valid for all 4 years of study at Quest University and is awarded to applicants who have demonstrated high academic excellence with some leadership quality.
  • Scholarship Amount: The Total Cost of the Program that is the tuition fee is $32500 and Scholarships range from $2,000 to $18,000 per year to full tuition for all four years. So it is a partially paid scholarship.





Application Mode




  • Scholarship applications can be submitted at any time before the relevant deadline but will not be reviewed until the deadline. All application materials submitted for admission will be considered during the candidate's scholarship award review.                                 



Documents to be submitted with the application form


  • A Resume - Your résumé should clearly outline your experiences and achievements. This may include employment, volunteer work, gap year projects, awards, hobbies, skills and so on.
  • References: One letter of recommendation be an academic reference, and one is a character reference. The University consider up to a maximum of four letters of recommendation.
  • Letters must be submitted as PDF files, signed and written on official letterhead, or be sent directly from the person writing them.
  • 300-word personal introduction to the Faculty Selection Committee.
  • All documents must be submitted in a package together before March 1, 2016





Selection Process



  • The Scholarship Review Committee will evaluate each student's application for financial awards (scholarship and/or aid) only once. After an award package has been offered, no other financial awards applications will be accepted.
  • Work while studying in Quest University: Non-Canadian students wishing to work while in Canada will be limited to on-campus work for the first six months. After completing six months of full-time study, students can apply for an off- campus work permit.
