Aligarh Muslim Engineering Entrance Exam 2016


About AMUEEE 2016


Aligarh Muslim University (AMU, Aligarh) has announced notification and dates for Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam AMUEEE 2016. Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Programs for the session 2016-17


AMUEEE 2016 is for admission into Aligarh University Engineering Program for the session 2016-17. Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam (AMUEEE) is conducted by Aligarh Muslim University on all India basis and is open to students of all states/UTs and from all recognised boards/universities


AMUEEE is for admission in various undergraduate engineering courses and architecture course. The students can apply for B.Tech & B.Arch through the same AMUEEE application form


Course Details
Bachelor’s Degree Courses

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) - 4 years (8 Semesters)

B.Tech Programs offered in Chemical Engineering (30 Seats); Civil Engineering (60 Seats); Computer Engineering (50 Seats); Electrical Engineering (60 Seats); Electronics Engineering (50 Seats); Mechanical Engineering (90 Seats); Petrochemical Engineering (25 Seats)


Eligibility Criteria 

Candidate should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Aligarh Muslim University or an equivalent examination wtih at least 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or should have a Diploma in Engineering of AMU with at least 50% marks in aggregate
Selection Process

Selection will be through Admission Test and allocation of Branch shall be made through Counselling

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) - (10 Semesters) - Intake: 20

 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Aligarh Muslim University or any equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate for English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or should hold a Diploma in Engineering of AMU with at least 50% marks in aggregate marks

Selection Process: Selection will be through an Admission Test



AMUEEE 2016 Entrance Exam


There shall be two papers of equal weightage 

  • Paper-I: Common with B.Tech applicants (details are provided under B.Tech program);
  • Paper-II (Architecture Aptitude Test): It shall contain some descriptive questions and Test of Drawing


Note

i. Candidates should secure atleast 40% marks in Paper-II (Architecture Aptitude Test) to become eligible for selection


ii. Candidates are advised to bring their own drawing and sketching material like pencils, eraser, sharpner, pen, ink, Pencil Colours, Water Colours etc.Drawing Sheets and/or Answer Booklet shall be provided to the candidates


iii. Candidates including Rank Holders of Diploma in Engg of AMU/Foreign Nationals/NRIs seeking admission to B.Arch Course are compulsorily required to appear and secure 40% marks in the B.Tech/B.Arch. Test (Architectural Aptitude Test-Paper-II) conducted by the AMU as stipulated by the Council of Architecture for registration as an Architect



Test Centres

Test for B.Tech will be held at Aligarh (UP), Lucknow (UP), Srinagar (J&K), Kolkata (WB), Patna (Bihar), Khanapara (Meghalaya) adjoining Guwahat


Test for B.Arch will be held only at Aligarh. Candidates opting for B.Arch shall be allotted Aligarh only as Test Centre



How to Apply

Candidates can also download the Application Form from Website www.amucontrollerexams.com 

Application Can be submitted online latest by 16th February 2016. The test fee for B.Tech is Rs.500/- and for B.Arch Fee is Rs.600/-. It can be paid by way of a Demand Draft from a Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh payable at Aligarh or Online through Internet Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card or by Local Bank Challan issued from Canara Bank, AMU Campus, Aligarh /ICICI Bank (Extension Counters) at AMU Campus Aligarh

PDF Generated copy of the application should reach the 'Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examinations, AMU, Aligarh-202002', by hand delivery or registered post by 20th February 2016



Exam Pattern


There shall be one objective type paper of 150 marks comprising 150 questions on Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The questions will be objective type and will weigh one mark each


The test will be of 3 hours duration and will be held from 10.00 am on 24th April 2016



Additional Information

Candidates applying for admission to B.Tech can also apply for admission to B.Arch on the same Application Form after paying additional Admission Test fee of Rs.100/-


Such candidates shall also have to appear in Paper-II. Candidates applying for admission to B.Arch can also apply for admission to B.Tech on the same Application Form without paying additional Admission Test Fee


However, they should clearly indicate their choices, in order of preference, in the Application Form

  • AMUEEE 2016 Exam Date (B.Tech & B.Arch): 24th April 2016 (Sunday), Schedule Start: 10.00 am 3 Hrs.
  • Date of Result: Mid June 2016
