Applications are invited for Nitte University Mangalore Entrance Exam for MBBS BDS (NUUGET) 2016. Students’ admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the constituent Colleges, namely, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore and A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, respectively, during the year 2016-17 offered by the Nitte University is based on inter-se Merit in the All India Entrance Test for UG Courses, NUUGET - 2016 conducted by the Nitte University
NITTE University Managlore will conduct Under-Graduate Entrance Test as NUUGET-2016 for Medical and Dental Programs admission 2016-17
Intake & Fee
The present Total Intake is indicated below (CET+NRI+NUUGET)
- MBBS (4 ½ years + 1 year Internship) - 150 Seats
- BDS (4 years +1 year Internship) - 100 Seats
Eligibility Criteria
Student who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance
- Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time
- A candidate who has passed the Second year Pre -University or 12th standard or equivalent exam not earlier to 2014 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. However in case of SC/ST candidates it is 40%
- Candidates whose 10+2 results are not yet announced may also apply
- Candidates must be 17 or more years of age as on 31st December 2016
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
Exam Pattern
Entrance Test will be computer based test and medium of entrance test shall be English. There will be a question paper of 3 hours duration consisting of 180 multiple-choice questions (one booklet)
Subject wise distribution of questions would be: Physics 60, Chemistry 60 and Biology 60 (There will be at least 4 versions (A, B, C & D) of the question paper booklet and therefore serial number of question differs from version to version)
Questions will be of multiple-choice types, each having one correct answer out of four alternatives. Answer sheet is of Optical Mark Reader (OMR) type and is to be marked as per instruction on it, using a black or blue ballpoint pen
Each question carries one mark. Correct answer will be awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers
Test Centres
The computer Based Test (CBT) shall be conducted in the 20 (Twenty) cities listed in
Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Mysore, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram, Udupi (Manipal) & Vishakapatnam.
Test Fee
- Entrance Test Fee - Rs.1750/- (Non-refundable)
- Fee for change of centre (other than the two preference) - Rs.500/- (non-refundable)
- Fee for challenging key answers - Rs.100/- per questions (refundable if challenge in correct)
How to Apply
Eligible candidates desiring to appear for the Entrance Test may apply by downloading the application form from website www.nitte.edu.in and by paying the registration fee of Rs.1750/- by way of Demand Draft favouring Nitte University payable at Mangalore
The filled application with all relevant documents should be sent to the Registrar, Nitte University, Deralakatte, Mangalore (D.K)-575018, Karnataka, India by Speed Post so as to reach before the last date or may be handed over in person at the University Office on any working day before the last date 22nd April 2016
