FDDI admission is based on the All India Selection Test (AIST) in Footwear design and Development Institute. FDDI was established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in the year 1986.
FDDI registration process and Entrance Exam that was on hold, as started and the last date to apply is July 25,2016.
FDDI has been awarded ISO 9001 in 1995 by BVQI, ISO 14001 in 1999 and ISO 17025 for laboratories in the year 2002. The institute conducts a wide range of professional programmes in the area of Retail, Footwear, Design, Leather Goods and Management.
All India Selection Test (AIST) is an online test conducted by FDDI in order to give admission to eligible candidates in undergraduate and intergated programmes.
FDDI has twelve well-designed campuses and they are:
Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Fursatganj, Chhindwara, Guna, Patna, Ankleshwar (Gujrat), Chandigarh, Hyderabad.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed class 12 examination or appearing in class 12 Board examination in 2016 are eligible to apply for all the courses.
- The maximum age of the candidate can be 25 years as on july 31, 2016.
Eligibility for UG programmes
- Canidates who have appeared in any of these BISAT/ JEE Main /GGSIPU/ VITEEE SRM/ BCECE/ UPSEE/ MPCET/ GUJCET/ EAMCET/ COMEDK/ MHCET/ ODISHA JEE or any other equivalent entrance test will be exempted from appearing AIST entrance test. You should contact the university for the same.

- Offline Mode: From FDDI Campus at Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Fursatganj, Chhindwara, Guna, Patna, Ankleshwar (Gujrat), Chandigarh, Hyderabad.
- Online Mode: Candidates can also Apply online for FDDI.

Submission of the application form
- The candidate who have filled their application form through Online mode need not submit their application form by post.
- After filling the Offline application form, candidates are required to send or submit in person the duly filled application form with the requisite documents to:

- Candidate can select the centre and date of his / her choice from the dates given on the Registration Form for appearing in AIST. Maximum efforts shall be made to accommodate the request on first come first serve basis. However, due to infrastructure constraints a candidate may sometimes be asked to appear on other date / centre also.
- Candidates applying under the “Reserved Category” (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Disabled) must upload a self attested documentary proof, as admissible.
- Candidates applying under exemption for written exam must upload scanned copy of his / her relevant score card or admit card (in case result is awaited) of the exam in which he/she has appeared.
- Candidates are required to upload one recent passport size coloured photograph & fill in the personal details given in the Admit Card (Mandatory).
- Signature of the student must be uploaded on the specified place.
- Forms which are incomplete in any aspect, shall be rejected without notifying the candidate.
- Candidates are advised to visit the admission website regularly for all updates & carefully read the eligibility criteria before Registration.
FDDI AIST fees
The Registration Fee is Rs.500.
Examination Pattern
AIST 2016 EXAMINATION STRUCTURE
- FDDI entrance test shall be for 2 ½ hours (Two and half hours) duration and conducted in English & Hindi languages.
- There will be a total of 150 objective type questions.
- Each question will carry 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking.
- The time allotted for the test shall be shown on the screen as Time Left to finish the test. The time shall start as soon as the candidate clicks the “Start Test” button. On completion of the test, the candidate may exit by pressing the “Submit” button. The candidate should attempt all the questions within the stipulated test duration of 2 ½ hours to avoid being “timed out”.

Note: The NRI applicants will be treated as sponsored candidates. The admission procedure is as Sponsorship category students.
