VITEEE 2017 is the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination. VITEEE 2017 is being conducted in the month of April every year by VIT University for B. Tech Admissions in its Vellore and Chennai Campuses. This All India Level Engineering Entrance Exam is being held in most states in India, in 118 cities.
Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu invites application for admission to B.Tech Programmes VIT admissions will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE 2017 Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted by VIT University.
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is labeled among top 10 engineering institutes in India; over the years, the institute has created an identity of its own in offering quality engineering education in different disciplines.Every year, the college conducts its entrance exam VITEEE, based on which candidates are admitted to the first year of under graduate degree in engineering i.e. Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology.

B. Tech Programmes offered at Chennai Campus:
Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen: The applicant for admission should be a Resident/Non Resident Indian National
- Age: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st July 1995 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2017; the date of birth as recorded in the High School/SSC/X Certificate will be considered authenticCandidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01st July 1995 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2017.
- Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2017 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
- The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the SC/ST & North Eastern State
- Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply
- 'NIOS' candidates are eligible to appear for the VITEEE-2017

Guidelines to VITEEE 2017 Applicants
Online Application Forms: Get ready to submit the application form, after following the below instructions:
- Softcopy (scanned copy) of recently taken passport size colour photograph with 50kb - 100kb (Dimensions - 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) / Softcopy (scanned copy) of Signature of the Candidate with 20kb - 50kb (Dimensions - 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm) in JPG/JPEG format
- Mode of Payment: Internet Banking facility through Net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/and Demand Draft Mode
- All our correspondence including centre booking and issue of e-admit card details will be through email only; therefore, the applicant is requested to get ready with valid email id and Mobile number for contact

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is Computer Based Test (CBT)
VITEEE-2017 Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English
Duration: 02.30 hours (3 sessions per days)
Number of Questions:
- PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics): 120 questions (Each 40 questions)

No Negative marks for wrong answers.

Result and Counselling
- VITEEE 2017 Written Exam: On the basis of the result of Written Admission Test, candidates will be shortlisted aacording to their scores in the online exam.
- The admisssion will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE 2017, conducted by VIT University. Candidates who have not appearedd for the VITEEE are not eligible for admission.
- Counselling: The candidates will be short-listed on their entrance examination marks and will be called for the counselling. Counselling schedules would be displayed on website and SMS will also be sent to shortlisted candidates.
- VIT Results would be tentatively declared on April 24, 2017, i.e. 10-15 days after the Computer based exam is over.
