COMEDK UGET 2017

About

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced the dates for Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET 2017) for Engineering Courses. 

COMEDK UGET 2017 is a single common entrance test for admission to engineering courses in the COMEDK member institutions of Karnataka. The Computer based entrance examination will be conducted on May 14, 2017 (Sunday).

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Engineering 

• Candidates applying for engineering courses should have qualified PUC or 10 + 2 higher secondary or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as a compulsory subject. 

• Candidates belonging to general category must have secured minimum 45% marks whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates of Karnataka are required to secure minimum 40% marks in the PUC or 10 + 2 higher secondary examination. Candidates holding a diploma in engineering are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Architecture

• Candidates applying for Architecture courses should have qualified PUC or 10 + 2 higher secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government.  

• Candidates belonging to general category must have secured minimum 50% marks whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates of Karnataka are required to secure minimum 45% marks.

• The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for both General Merit and Category students. There shall be no other entrance test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.

Exam Pattern for COMEDK UGET 2017

For PCM (BE) 

• Physics-60 MCQ, 

• Chemistry-60 MCQ,  

• Mathematics-60 MCQ, 

• Biology & English-Not Applicable; 

Total: 180 MCQs

Note: Candidates seeking admission for Medical/Dental courses will have to qualify NEET 2017 and satisfy the eligibility norms prescribed by MCI/DCI, besides eligibility in English viz. 50% securing for Gen Merit candidates & 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka.

Exam Pattern

• COMEDK UGET 2017 will be based on the syllabus of 10+2 (12th) standard. Questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are asked to test the candidate’s aptitude in program of choice

• Entrance Test COMEDK UGET-2017 is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to BE/BTech/BArch courses in Member Institutions of COMEDK. A merit/rank list is generated based on the entrance test.

How to Apply

The Candidates have to register themselves at www.comedk.org. 

On Registration, the applicant will be provided with Login ID and Password. The application process requires the candidate to complete the prescribed online application form and submit it along with relevant documents and prescribed fees

a) Demand Draft (drawn from the nationalized banks in favour of “COMEDK” payable at Bangalore)

b) 10th Standard Marks card/School Leaving Certificate indicating the candidate’s Date of Birth (required for the date of birth verification)

c) SC/ST/OBC or Minority Certificates (Religious/Linguistic) if any

Application Fees

Demand Draft has to be drawn from the nationalized banks in favour of COMEDK (check for the correct spelling), payable at Bangalore (DD must be payable at Bangalore only).

• Rs.1200/- for 3 Subjects (PCB or PCM) i.e. MBBS/BDS or B.E and 

• Rs.1500/- for 4 subjects (PCMB) i.e. MBBS/BDS and B.E
