Admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes at IIIT Hyderabad are offered based on these channels – JEE Main 2017, DASA, NTSE-KVPY (NK), and Olympiad.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects
- Candidates must have appeared in JEE Main 2017.
- Candidates will be called for IIIT Hyderabad Counselling 2017 based on their JEE Main 2017 scores
For IIIT Hyderabad Admission 2017 via DASA (For Foreign National/Persons of Indian Origin/NRIs):
Candidates must have completed Class 12th or equivalent by May 2017 or earlier.
Candidates are required to satisfy on of the conditions:
- Studied XI and XII, or equivalent, outside India, or Hold a foreign passport
- Applicants should have completed 12th class or equivalent by May 2017 or earlier. Candidate should have scored at least 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10 point scale) in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Applicants should have a minimum aggregate score of 1600 (out of maximum of 2400) in old format SAT, and also a minimum aggregate score of 2000 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Both scores are mandatory. Scores of candidates writing SAT as per the new format will be mapped using concordance tables available from College Board (USA).
For admission via NTSE, Olympiad and KVPY (NOK):
- Students who have qualified NTSE, KVPY
- Selected for training to represent India in International Olympiads
- Must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects.
- Candidates will then have to appear for an Entrance Exam, the pattern for which changes every year.
How to Apply
The steps to fill the online application form is given below. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully
- Step 1: Candidates need to fill the registration form for IIIT Hyderabad on its official website (https://www.iiit.ac.in/admissions/undergraduate/)
- Step 2: After registration, the candidates will receive an email with login credentials by which they need to fill the further application form.
- Step 3: The candidates need to fill the intermediate and JEE Main scores and all the compulsory details
- Step 4: At last, submit the application form and make the payment of the fees.
- Step 5: After submitting the application form, candidates will receive an email about the seat allotment.

Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure for students entring through Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (CLD/NK):
- Admissions will be based on performance in an entrance examination and an interview, both conducted by IIIT-H.
- The exam is to be held on April 30, 2017 (Sunday) across multiple cities. Shortlisted candidates from this exam will have to clear an interview to get admitted.
- The last date for submission of online application is April 15, 2017.
Exam Pattern
- The test will have three parts: Part I (Maths and Logical reasoning), Part II (Aptitude) and Part III (Essays).
- Sample questions for Part I and Part II are given below.
- Questions in Part I can be objective as well as subjective.
- Questions in Part II include questions on aptitude for analysing language data.
- In Part III, you would be asked to write a couple of essays on any given topic. This part will be evaluated only if you score above 50% in Part I and above 55% in Part II.
