The Vellore Institute of Technology has invited applications for the admission to the undergraduate courses for the academic year 2017-18. 

The Courses offered are BBA/BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science) / B.Sc. / B.Com, Multimedia and Animation / B.Sc. Catering and Hotel Management.

Eligibility Criteria 

• Age Limit: Candidates whose date birth falls on or after 01st July 1997 are eligible to apply; the date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC/X certificate will be considered authentic 

• Nationality: The applicant for admission should be Resident Indian National and should have studied in regular full time and formal education in schools located in India in the preceding two years 

Academic Qualification:

• B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA: A pass in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum of 70% overall aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.

• B.Sc. Multimedia and Animation: A pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or A pass in Diploma (10+3) in any stream with a minimum of 70% overall aggregate.

• B.Sc. Catering and Hotel Management: A pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or A pass in Diploma (10+3).

• B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) / BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination, with minimum of 70% overall aggregate. Students must have studied Commerce / Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subjects.

The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 60% for the following categories: (Except B.Sc. Catering and Hotel Management) 

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST

• Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category must fill in the Performa which will be available in the information brochure and it has to be attested by competent authority.

• Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura should fill in the CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY Performa which will be available in the information brochure and it has to be attested by competent authority.

• In case the marks statement is not produced by the candidate at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final

Admission Procedure

• Candidates will be called for the counselling in the order of merit based on the aggregate of total marks secured in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination 

• The result will be published on the website of the College

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the UG programmes - 2017, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 400/- (including Service Tax) in person from the following address:
