RIECEE 2017 – Application, Eligibility and Dates | Regional Institute of Education

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Exam 2017 (CEE)-2017 for the Admission to B.Sc. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed/B.A. B.Ed. offered by Regional Institutes of Education of NCERT at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and NERIE, Shillong for the academic session 2017-18 

Units of NCERT 


The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE) is a constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. NERIE was set up at Shillong in 1995 to cater to the educational needs of the North Eastern states, viz., Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

  • B.Sc. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated)
  • B.A. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated)


Courses at Different RIEs


  • RIE Ajmer: B.Sc.B.Ed (Physical and Biological Group), B.A. B.Ed., B.Ed (Two Year) 
  • For all Courses: Students must belong to Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh 
  • RIE Bhubaneswar: B.Sc.B.Ed (Physical and Biological Group), B.A. B.Ed., B.Ed (Two Year) 



Eligibility Criteria


For B.Sc.B.Ed. Course
  • Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (M stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (B stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level. 
  • Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PH candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating universities of the RIEs.
  • Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2015, 2016 or appearing /appeared in 2017 only. 


For B.A. B.Ed. Course

  • Candidates must have passed +2/ Hr. Secondary/ Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PH candidates) in 2015, 2016 or appearing /appeared in 2017. 

How to Apply



  • Register yourself by following the link “Registration Form” in the CEE- 2017 website at www.ncert-cee.kar.nic.in
  • The last date for registration is 10th May 2017.
  • For the Registration you need a valid e-mail id & mobile number

Downloading of Admit Card 


Candidate will have to download their admit card after 16th May 2017. Print this Admit Card and bring it along with you for the common entrance examination on 11th June 2017. 

Submission of Qualifying Examination Marks


  • The students who are appearing in the qualifying examination in 2017 must enter their qualifying examination marks as per the schedule below:
  • Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2017 appearing applicants of B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed. programme is 5th July 2017.
  • Last date for submission of qualifying examination marks for 2017 appearing applicants of B.Ed./B.Ed.-M.Ed./M.Ed. programme is 20th July 2017.
  • If you do not enter your qualifying marks before the last date, this mark will not be used in the rank generation and this will disqualify you for the admission.

Application Fee



  • Once you confirm the information, you will be taken to the payment of fees. There are two options for paying the examination fee. First one is through online payment (credit card/debit card/net banking) and second one is through echallan based payment. 
  • Currently only the online payment is enabled. Therefore you need to pay the fee of Rs.800/400 using debit card/credit card/net banking.
  • If e-challan based payment is enabled, you need to print the e-challan (pdf/word/excel) of the Canara Bank and remit the fee of Rs.800/400 in any of the nearest Canara Bank branch only.



Syllabus


The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education

For all the groups, areas to be tested are


  • Language Proficiency
  • Teaching Aptitude/Attitude
  • Reasoning Ability.
  • No. of test items-80, Time Duration-120 minutes.
  • Out of 80 questions, Language Proficiency in English 20 questions, Teaching Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and Reasoning Ability 30 questions.
