National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bengaluru (Institute of National Importance), invites online applications on prescribed form of admission to the following courses for the academic year 2017-18.
Courses and seats offered
- B.Sc. in Nursing: 77 Seats
- B.Sc. in Radiography: 10 Seats 10 Seats (04 Seats for sponsored) (05 seats reserved for Post Diploma Candidates)
- B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 10 Seats
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technology (3 years): Minimum qualification for admission, pass in two-year Pre-University exam or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 45% in Science subjects (40% in case of SC/ST candidates)
- B.Sc in Radiography: Pre-University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education or any recognized State Board with English and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as optional subjects with 45% aggregate.
- B.Sc in Nursing: Passed Pre-University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum 45% aggregate in the above subjects.
- Age Limit: The age of candidates for all B.Sc. courses should be between minimum of 17 years and maximum of 25 years as on 01st August 2017.
Selection Procedure
- Selection will be based purely on merit based on the ONLINE entrance test. There will be counseling for students to ascertain their preference of subject, verification of documents and to implement statutory reservation provisions. General candidates securing less than 50% of marks and SC/ST candidates securing less than 45% of marks in the entrance test shall not be eligible to be called for counseling.
- If no eligible candidates are available against reserved seats, they shall be filled up from general merit category.

Entrance Test
- The selection will be based on the marks obtained by the common entrance examination conducted by NIMHANS. The list of selected candidates will be prepared separately for each course and displayed on the notice boards of the Institute and the NIMHANS website.
- The question paper for ONLINE Entrance test will contain multiple choice objective type questions.
- Theduration of the test for each course will be 90 minutes and the number of questions to be answered is 100.
- There will be negative marking and 0.25 marks will be deducted for all wrong answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
How to Apply
- The applications have to be filled online and submitted online; applications with enclosures will be received online only; abstract need not be sent separately.
- For all Other Courses, the Fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General Candidates & Rs.750/- per course for SC/ST candidates. The Payment is to be made online only with Debit/Credit Cards and/or
- Online Transfer or any other mode of payment including Demand Draft will not be accepted at any cost.

- Online Entrance Test will be held in all the Centers on 25th June 2017
