St. Xavier's University, Kolkata invites applications for the follwoing courses for the academic year 2017-18.

Courses Offered


  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Honours)
  • Bachelor in Management Studies (B.M.S. Honours)



Eligibility Criteria



  • The student must have passed in all the papers as per the respective board/council pass marks.
  • The student must have obtained minimum 45% marks in each of the 4 subjects included in the aggregate calculation.
  • A student must have studied and passed in English in the +2 level. Admission of students failing in English or not having English as a paper will be cancelled.
  • Marks required for Application: Aggregate 60%
  • Aggregate is calculated with 4 subjects at plus 2 level including the compulsory subjects as indicated in the eligibility criteria for application and the subjects having the maximum marks from the rest of the subjects.

How to Apply





  • For applying to B.Com. and B.M.S. at the University (New Town Campus), Maths/B.Maths/Stats is not compulsory in +2 level  for calculation of aggregate. 
  • There will be separate admission procedure for St. Xavier's University, Kolkata and St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. Hence, the candidates aspiring to take admission in these institutes need to apply separately through distinct online forms available on the individual websites of the University and the College respectively. 
  • Further, candidates need to go through the selection procedure which will be different for the respective institutes and they must follow the admission guidelines as announced with the respective selection lists. It must be noted that admission to the University is not transferable to the College and vice-versa.
