AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2016 Notification and Dates have been announced. Applications are invited for All India Institute of Medical Sciences - AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam 2016 for admission to the MBBS Course in AIIMS, New Delhi and six other AIIMS (Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh and Raipur)
The entrance exam is proposed to be conducted in two shifts in different centres all over India on 29th May 2016 (Sunday)
The Entrance Examination for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and six other AIIMS for the session 2016 will be conducted through Online Computer Based Test (CBT) Exam Only
No. of Seats & Reservation
For AIIMS New Delhi: This year 72 (seventy-two) seats for Indian Nationals are available for admission to MBBS Course. Out of these, 11 (eleven) seats are reserved for the SC 05 Seats are reserved for the ST 19 Seats are reserved for OBC and 37 Seats for General Category for Indian Nationals
A 3% reservation for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped [OPH] shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available
Six other AIIMS: In the six new AIIMS (viz: Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh,) with intake of 100 studentseach, the reservation policy followed will be 7.5% ST, 15% SC and 27% OBC, for Indian Nationals

Eligibility Criteria
Age: Should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2016). Candidates born on or after 02nd January 2000 are NOT eligible to apply
Essential Qualifications
- Candidate should have passed the 12thClass under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Exam of a recognized University/Board of any Indian
- State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subject
- Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the Exam with required percentage of marks eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Exam
- However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying Examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks
The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying exam as in the Essential Qualification required for appearing in this exam are:
- General and OBC Candidates: 60%
- SC/ST/OPH Candidates: 50%
