Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2016

About


Central Universities invites applications for Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2016) for admission to Integrated UG and PG programmes, for the academic year 2016-17.


A consortium of 9 Central Universities of Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu (called Participating Universities, PUs) which were established by an act of Parliament in the year 2009 will organize a combined Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2016) for admission to their various programmes


The Coordination University (CURAJ), invites bright and aspiring students to apply for admission to various Courses and Program


The Participating Central Universities are:

2. Central University of Jammu
3. Central University of Jharkhand
4. Central University of Karnataka
5. Central University of Kashmir
6. Central University of Kerala
7. Central University of Punjab
8. Central University of Rajasthan
9. Central University of Tamil Nadu



Courses / Programs Offered


  • UG/Integrated Programs (3/4/5 years) [59 Courses]
  • PG/B.Ed/Integrated M.Sc B.Ed/PG Diploma Programs (1/2/3 years) [177 Courses)
  • MPhil and /or PhD Research Programs [92 Courses)




Eligibility Criteria for CUCET 2016



  • This test is conducted for the students of 10+2, Bachelor Degree holders and Master Degree holders to obtain admission into the UG/Integrated Program, Post Graduate Program and the Research Program respectively in these nine Central Universities

Note: 
All applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the program, because, different universities have different eligibility criteria for similar courses. Hence, students will be themselves responsible if they opt for a course for which they are not eligible



CUCET 2016 Exam Pattern


Please take a look on the CUCET 2016 exam pattern specified below:


All Question Papers will be MCQ based consisting of:


Part A: Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills - comprising of 25 MCQs


Part B: Domain Knowledge - comprising of 75 MCQs; this part may consist of three/four/five sections; each section will have 25 questions; a candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions)


  • However, he must ensure that he fills right circles in the OMR Sheet corresponding to the question numbers attended
  • For Admission to some Integrated Courses/MBA/MCA/LLB/LLM or any other general course(s), only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills will be held
  • The candidate will have to choose one correct answer and mark on OMR Sheet
  • Each paper will be only of Two Hours Duration
  • No negative marking system will be applicable

Ahmedabad, Bandarsindari (CURAJ) Ajmer, Bangalore, Bathinda, Bhagalpur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Bidar, Bikaner, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Davanagere, Dehradun, Dhanbad, Goa, Guwahati, Hisar, Hubli, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedupur, Jodhpur, Kalaburagi/Gulbarga, Kasargod, Kathua, Kochi, Kolkata, Kota, Kottayam, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Madurai, Mehendergarh, Mumbai, Napur, New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Raichur, Raipur, Sambalpur, Shimla, Sikar, Silchar, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Thiruvarur, Thrissur, Trichy, Udaipur, Udhampur, Udupi, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam



Fee Structure


  • The fee for CUCET-2016 for different categories of the candidates would be as follows, which shall be payable in CUCET-2016 account:
  • For General/ OBC Candidates: Rs.700/- + Bank Commission Rs.50/- Total Fee to be Paid: Rs.750/-
  • For SC /ST Candidates: Rs.350/- + Bank Commission Rs.50/- Total Fee to be Paid: Rs.350/-
  • PwD Candidates: All PWD candidates are exempted from CUCET-2016 fees as per Govt. of India



Payment Mode


  • Online Application & Payment through Online /Debit Card / Credit Card and Challan
  • *For payment through online/debit/credit card, extra charges of Rs.10 to Rs.15/- as levied by service provider shall be charged to the candidates
  • **As decided by the Coordinating University, after negotiation with SBI on 22nd February 2016



How to Apply





Applicants are required to fill in the details in the form carefully. On submission of online application, successfully the students will get successful completion message in the online case


In the offline case the candidate will get a message after reconciliation from the bankwithin 2-3 days


A candidate may fill the form partially and login again to complete it later; candidates will receive SMSs and Email alerts at the time of registration and after completing payment through online, in the offline case the student will get a message after reconciliation from SBI




The entire application is in 8 stage process

  • Stage 1: From www.cucet16.co.in website we can directly click on the apply button to go to the registration for the three programs UG, PG and RP link we can see; the following is the screen shot you will get once you click on Apply button from home page it will go the stage 2
  • Stage 2: The following is the screen shot to apply the three programs UG, PG and RP; the candidate can click on any one link as per his/her choice
  • Stage 3: The following is the screen shot for registration process into various program; after successful registration candidate will get a mail and message to the respective register mail id and mobile
  • Stage 4: The following is the screen shot for Registration Details of a particular candidate in to various program
  • Stage 5: In this stage a candidate can upload his/her photo and sign scan copy with the limited size
  • Stage 6: In this stage a candidate can register for the three courses in a particular selected program from each university
  • Stage 7: In this stage a candidate canedit his application form andgo for payment processesin onlineand offline (SBI Only) mode
  • Stage 8: In this stage student can proceed for payment processes

Candidates who are appearing in the final examination of the qualifying degree /certificate are also eligible to apply



Important Dates for CUCET 2016


  • Commencement of Online Registration: 14th March 2016
  • Openning of Online Application Form for All Programmes: 14th March 2016
  • Closing of Online Application Form for All Programmes: 15th April 2016
  • Date of Admit Card Upload: 06th May 2016
  • Examination Date: 21st - 22nd May 2016
  • Date of Answer Key Upload: 23rd May 2016
  • Date of Grievances, if any upto 05:00 pm on 26th May 2016
  • Corrected Answer Key ready: 03rd June 2016
  • Result Declaration: 17th June 2016
