Eligibility Criteria

• The final exam of the 10+2 system conducted by any recognised Central/State Board, including the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai, Pune, etc., Central Board of Secondary Education, (C.B.S.E.) New Delhi, Council for the Indian School Certification Exam (I.S.C.) New Delhi

• Intermediate or 2-year pre-university exam conducted by a recognised Board/University

• High School Certificate Exam of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva

• Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by the NIOS with a minimum of five subjects

For BACHELOR OF MASS MEDIA (B.M.M) and BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES (B.M.S.)

Admission Criteria

• For the BMM Course, the students come from all 3 faculties (Arts, Science & Commerce) where the marking systems are very different.  Hence an entrance test for this course will be conducted for admission purposes.  Admissions would be on the basis of the Entrance Test: 60%, XII Std. marks: 30% and Personal Interview: 10 %.

Minimum Percentage of marks in qualifying Exams

• Candidates belonging to the General Category, must secure at least 65% marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Exams.

• Candidates belonging to the Christian Minority Community must secure at least 60% in the Qualifying Exams.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST reserved category must secure at least 55% marks in their Qualifying Exams.

Intake

• Total Seats – 60 Seats

• Management Quota – 09 Seats

• Minority – 25 Seats

• General – 13 Seats

• Total Reserved Category – 13 (SC/ST/DT(A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)/OBC)

Exam Pattern

• There will be one question paper for each course, of two hours duration. The Question paper will consist of two Sections made up of objective and subjective type questions

• For the BMM it will consist of questions on General Knowledge Current Affairs, Data Interpretation, Economics, English Language Skills and Critical Analysis & Creative Thinking

• For the BMS it will consist of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Interpretation and Basic Mathematics, Language skills, Reasoning, Critical Analysis & Creative Thinking

• Language of Question Paper: The question paper will be in the English Language and candidates are required to answer in English

Exam Centre: The BMS/BMM 2017 Entrance exams will be conducted only at St. Xavier’s College – Autonomous, 5, Mahapalika Marg, Mumbai 400001

• The site has been designed in a user friendly way to help candidates apply online in a step by step fashion. The On-line application portal will be open from 10.00 hrs (IST) on 01st May 2017 to 17 hrs (IST) on 28th May 2017

• The Fee for the on-line application for ST/SC candidates only are Rs.500/- and Rs.1000/- for all other candidates. Candidates are required to make an online payment through Credit/Debit Cards of Nationalised or other Banks
